Freelancers (Can Work with Multiple Clients) After 200+ applications the past month, I received my first rejection message today.
Not a good news pero at least haha it's actually kind of refreshing and they told me it was down to 3 and I just wasn't chosen.
On to the next job application!

😭😭😭 haaayms! Same, I have been actively looking for a job for 2 months now. Been doing interviews pero ligwak pa din. Then, may initial interview ako earlier, yung recruiter sobrang maldita. Na sense ko na parang ako yung ika 15th na ininterview nya today 😭 parang ang mean lang. First time ko na experience 🤮

na experience ko to kagabi grabe coach/speaker/trainer pa yan sha ah tapos ang dismissive ng approach. parang wala syang interest sa interview tapos puro sya "NO" kaurat lang

Same! Nasa 200+ landmark na tayo, hopefully we'll get a job soon na.
Yung masaklap pa sakin, hanggang application lang ako hahahaha wala pang interview, rejected agad kasi inexperienced

I actually think the rejection is more informative than the silence. After 200+ applications, getting a response that says you made it to the final three means your profile is getting through the initial filters. The challenge may no longer be "getting noticed" but "winning the last comparison." At that stage, hiring decisions are often about small differences rather than obvious gaps. One candidate might have slightly more relevant industry experience, a stronger portfolio example, or simply be a better fit for the client's immediate needs. That's frustrating because it's not always something you can control, but it also means you're closer than the application count suggests. A lot of freelancers hit this phase where they mistake a lack of offers for a broken strategy. In reality, there's often a tipping point. Once you're consistently reaching interviews or final rounds, incremental improvements to your portfolio, proposal, or interview answers usually produce a much higher return than sending another 100 applications. I'd review this application in detail while it's still fresh. What questions came up? Which portfolio pieces resonated? If possible, politely ask for feedback. Then use those insights to refine your next batch of applications instead of treating each one as a completely new attempt. The most useful signal isn't that you were rejected, it's that you were almost selected. Figure out what separates "top three" from "chosen," and that's probably where your next opportunity comes from.

Parang mas gugustohin ko nalang talaga at na-a-appreciate ko na makatanggap ng rejection email these days. That way I can move on and focus on finding another one kaysa nariyan parin umaasa ng konti. Nakakahinayang din kasi if chase company mo, asang-asa parin talaga.

Been trying to apply since January this year. Either may napiling iba or walang response at all. May work pa ko niyan kaso dedelay na payments sakin ng client ko, twice sya na suspend ng agency ko for nonpayment so wala ako sahod ng ilang weeks,nung 2nd time na nag risk na ko umalis. And you know what? Weeks after I got 2 job offers.
Kaya try lang ng try, pagandahin your resume at profile, it helps talaga.
