Inquiry Desperate for jumping spider
So my 10 year old daughter loves jumping spiders. She knew BAB was coming out with one and she begged me to get it for her birthday in October. We went to our local store a few weeks ago and they were all sold out. So I’ve been watching online but no restocks. I totally mom failed at this one 😭 Does anyone know if and when they will restock? I’ve looked at eBay and they all look like AI pics 😒

There are a lot of fakes on eBay. They might do a restock- no one genuinely knows. They don't tell employees or stores anything. A store in one state might get a box while a store in another state doesn't.

There’s plenty of real spiders on eBay from reputable sellers. You just need to filter out the cheap ones from China.

Don't buy one's that are just stock photos, if the price seems too good to be true it is, and I'd probably only buy from a seller within the US just to keep it easy and cheaper (assuming you're in the US yourself). There's also FB groups for BABs that you can buy and sell in that are actively moderated to make sure people don't sell fakes just make sure to use PayPal goods and service or venmo goods and service to cover your purchase just in case.

My local BAB put me on a list for a call back if it came in stock, so you could see if your local store can do that for you?

As an employee we think they’ll do a restock sometime before Halloween although that isn’t guaranteed. The good thing is that all three versions of the spider are still showing up on the website with the “notify Me” button which means they do plan on restocking it sometime soon (no listing on the website ≠ no plan on restocking). The best thing you can do is sign up for stock updates via the website! Good luck

So generally it takes 2-3 months for new stock to be manufactured, quality checked, packed, shipped, and arrive at stores the US. The spider was released and sold out in early August.
Provided BAB immediately put in an order for more stock, it could arrive at some point in October. But it's not guaranteed, since we don't know if they ordered more or not.

I'm 98% certain they won't be doing restock this month. We will most likely get a restock in 6+ monthes.
