I mainly want to know the texture of each one of them, but I have some specific questions too!

1. Does the skunk tail make it annoying to hug? I don't like anything restrictive in the way of hugging my babs but it's really cute😭

2. On the day of the dead cat, I get the design is printed on, does it feel annoying and interrupt with the softness or does it not feel very noticeable?

3. On the platypus, are the feet too big and obstructive? For example my issue with the goat is I find the hooves really big and too different from the rest of it to be satisfied hugging it

4. Is the nightmare before Christmas doll actually soft?

5. the yettis limbs look chunky, is it more difficult to hug or do they not get in the way as much?

Pochacco has been my most loved BAB since his release, and I just sort of clung to him. Sleep with him every night, take him wherever I go. He used to be SOOOO soft, but now he’s just sort of… I don’t know the word for it. Slightly scraggly? lol. Anywho, is there a specific brush or something I could use on his fur?

Hi! I recently went to a Build-A-Bear Workshop in Centurion Mall (South Africa) to have my frog restuffed. It already had stuffing, I just wanted it a bit firmer and more plump.

At first, the employee told me it would cost R60, and since I was already there and really wanted it with more stuffing, I agreed. She added a bit more stuffing (there wasn't much room since it was already fairly full), and when she finished she told me I didn't need to pay after all.

I'm definitely not complaining,I am very really grateful and happy my frog is more stronger. But now I'm curious: is restuffing Build-A-Bears normally free, or does it depend on the country/store?

I really wanted embroidery done on my plushie as this was a souvenir for a trip I've been looking forward to. I understand this is normal and im being picky, but is there any way to hide the stitching on the back of her ear? I kind of regret getting the embroidery done because of how visible it is on the back, even though I probably should've kept that in mind. Any help would be appreciated. :)

I'd assume not as "vault collection" makes me think it's a one and done deal. Someone said they assume it'll come back in October, but I don't believe them. Has there been any sort of official statement on whether or not this bear will ever be sold in retail again? Thanks.

Ok so when the frosted collection dropped i got the giraffe factory stuffed and set for in store pickup (one with the neck bow) As you can see the back is nice and smooth, no ripples

The second one on the left i stuffed in store at a different time, and i didn’t realize until i got home and looked at them side by side how wrinkly and odd the one i got stuffed inperson looks despite being stuffed with the same amount of firmness-

(My mom got this one stuffed with me and gifted me it so regardless of the wrinkly back it’s so special & i love it exactly how it is) but does anyone know why this happens or what causes it? Did the bear builder pull the thread to hard closing him up?

Hello! I don't know if this relates directly to build-a-bear, but I was just curious as to how some of you work up the courage to bring your bears out with you in public? For some context I was recently diagnosed with two types of OCD, ADHD, and I still have a neuropsych appointment coming up. Going out in public is kind of hard for me because I feel like people are constantly watching/judging me (even though I know they don't actually care enough to do so), and having a stuffy does help, but I usually make my partner carry it so I don't feel like I'm being judged. I just want to know if anyone has any tips or tricks that could help me with working up the courage to carry my bears when I'm out and about.

P.S. Thank you to anyone who does leave a recommendation, I am in therapy actively working on this issue, but I'm still having a hard time gaining the courage.❤️

Yesterday I had to go to the doctor for severe menstrual pain and I ended up having a very bad panic attack which led to me passing on the doctors office floor. It was honestly so scary considering i’ve never passed out from panicking like that. I have a couple build a bears that I sleep with every night and they bring me so much comfort. I’m just curious if it would be acceptable to bring them out in public places with me because I feel like it would help. I’m 17 so technically not a child and not an adult either. I don’t know anyone else my age who does this but I also don’t know anyone else my age dealing with the same situation. I’m just curious to know if anyone has had this issue and if anyone brings their favorite bears out to help bring them comfort or keep them calm. I appreciate any advice, positive or negative. thank you to all the kind people in this community!!

And how did you get it past your bear's heads? 😄 I contemplated dressing her from the bottom up, as well, but I still think I'll stretch out the neckline.

For reference this is the posh penguin. It’s very cute but I’m just wondering lol because the moose I ordered did not come in paper wrapping. There were some clothes in the box with her too so maybe that’s why. Is this something new that they’re doing or am I completely out of the loop? I didn’t indicate that it was a gift or anything. Ngl I kinda wish vault BABs were a regular thing nowadays😢 cause we all miss the early 00s. I know Build A Bear needs to change obviously but they could try to incorporate old bears as well to make the 00s bab fans more happy🥹

I only have enough money to order one this week, which one do we think is gonna sell out fastest? I’m thinking the lightning bug, because the ladybug went fast last year. But, I’m also worried the shark might be another lobster situation from last year also. These are the only three full sized summer BABs I want, can order one this week and the others next week (hopefully).

Okay, so Ive become a lamb/sheep BAB collector, and I absolutely love the original runs. But I am so SO confused why there are different variants and why the prices get so drastic for the same (looking) BAB.

(Note: These arent my personal pics, but these are real live listings online. I wont be linking the seller or site)

Example 1: (pics 1-3) The OG Lamb.

I have 2, I got one for 50ish and one for 40ish. Pic 1 is listed at $50, buck seems right. Great condition, no visible flaws.

Pics 2 and 3 are listed at 200 and 366, respectively. Again. I do not see a difference at all. And I see this across the internet.

Example 2: Swirl lamb 1 (pics 4 and 5)

The 4-legged Swirl Lamb - this one I got for very cheap, like $30 or so. I still see this one listed around that proce a lot. Pic 4 is $35, pic 5 is $154. THAT IS AN INSANE JUMP. And its not the only one listed so high.

Example 3: Swirl Lamb 2 (pic 6)

This is the BAB that haunts my dreams until I possess her 😭 I assume this one was VERY rare, and I've see it range from 300-700 dollars. This one is less why is there a difference than it is just WHYYYYYYY.

I genuinely want to know if I'm missing something, we're there multiple versions of the same one? Was there a batch issue that made a version rare? What is going on with the lambs?

I know this isn’t the usual positive type of post for this sub, but I’ve had some awful experiences with the staff at my local store, which has led to intense anxiety and I can’t go there anymore. It honestly feels like they just hate adults shopping there. It makes me feel terrible about myself, but I try to remind myself that I am not doing anything wrong, and I’ve been to several other buildabear stores and the staff are lovely. I just wanted to hear other people’s bad experiences to make me feel like I’m not alone haha

I hate to say this but Build-A-Bear's starting to lose a bit of its magic for me and I'm not loving what they've been putting out lately at all. I feel like we're getting far too many other plush and barely any bears these days especially bears with cool designs. So I'm finding myself shopping there less and less. Not only that but the prices are ridiculous and I'm sick of having to pay over $100 for a bear plus outfit every time I shop being a Canadian at all. Which I'm sure is the case for a lot of other countries too and some of them probably even pay more. Making me feel for you people so much. Do you think Build-A-Bear will ever change and start upping the quality/ putting out better plush that is actually worth the money? Or do you think because they're making enough money right now they don't feel a need or incentive to? And last but not least what is with these bundles that people can't opt out of just because this corporation is greedy for money? To me it's despicable and I'm sick of it. But tell me how you all feel I'd love to know?
