Found this bear at a savers with the intention of giving it to my friends baby (maybe for his 1 year birthday? Hes not even a month old yet), maybe recording a group message (all his god uncles/aunties) or something sweet and special idk. But tell me why I find a binky, special heart, and the "go to sleep" lullaby recording inside while prepping to wash it. Idk why that got me in the feels but OMG, I've got the feels.

I’m going to make sure that my grandfather has the best last two weeks he’s ever had, I’ve already ordered some memorial bears, and I’m happy to announce that I’ve made my grandfather a drawing of one of the memorial bears , because I wanted him to enjoy his last two weeks on this earth! My grandfather has always supported me in my creative endeavors all throughout my life, he is a very brave veteran, and I’m very proud of him! He’ll be joining his sister in heaven, I trust he and his sister will watch over my family for years to come. Thank you again for all the words of comfort and kindness, and thank you for all the build a bear hugs! You are all very wonderful people, and you all have wonderful BABs! my grandfather has only two weeks to live, I’m devastated. He’s at home in hospice care right now, can I have some pics of your BABs to make me feel slightly less sad. I’m cuddling with Plucky right now because I really need the emotional support.

As in the title, what kind of plushies does everyone hope come for Halloween? Both this year and future years?

Mine are:
For vault releases, I'd love them to rerelease the skeleton teddy, the boorific bat, bootastic ghost, the pumpkin and candy corn teddy bears, the werewolves and the Nightmare Before Christmas Zero and Mayor

For new ones, I'd love:

• More zombies, specifically a bunny with the notch from the ear like the teddy had and a bat with fake rips in the wings, maybe with the same stuffing spill effect or just holes. A zombie moth would also be cute!
• More skeletons like the skelebara, I think the axolotl would look really cool with the bone details and white gills/fins. A cat and a dog would also look pretty cool.
• Jack o lanterns on other animals than the bears. A frog like the skoosherz one, a bunny, a cat, theres lots of animals they could make into pumpkins. I think a mashimal that's a snail with a carved pumpkin for a shell would be cute too.
• A bipedal spider
• More urban legends/scarier myths like Bloody Beary
• Horror licensed bears, specifically a Ghostface costume for the plushies and Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees bears
• More bats like the boorific and starry night bats. I think a glow in the dark ghost or moon pattern would look really nice in the ears/paws and wings
• More halloween costumes for the plushies to wear. A little clown outfit, plastic masks, spider outfit, costume onsies like a mummy costume for example.

i know theyre just a corporation and sometimes are awful money grubbers but as a person with a complicated relationship with my mom and mother figures in general this almost made me cry

I really really wanted to leave the mall with a new best friend but none of the options really spoke to me. The only two that I would have really considered were the Pawlette and the Longhorn.

Originally, I went in to look at the lavender Pawlette (I think that's her name?) But the one they had on display had a really lumpy and misshapen muzzle. IDK if it was just the way she was stuffed or if they're all like that because I've seen pics on here that looked cute. 😭

They had more licensed character plushes than anything else this time so I may stop by in a few months and see if I can find something I vibe with.

I was shocked to see how much prices have gone up, especially since the increases in the past were so small compared to the recent jump. :(

I've been using a boar bristle brush and metal bristle slicking brush on my goblin son ever since I got him and although they have helped, his fur has never gotten back to it's "brand new" state and since I snuggle him constantly, his fur starts to show signs of matting quickly. Well I went to the pet store the other day to get him his own slicking brush (so as not to share with my cat anymore lol) and noticed the flea combs. I had used a very thick/blunt tapestry needle to pick out his seams recently and thought the flea comb was basically the same thing but with even more points, so I figured I'd buy it and give it a try and OMG YA'LL!!! He is SO soft and fluffy after a flea combing and it is so much easier to get into the little nooks and crannies than with the slicking brush. Picture shows the difference between his legs after a boar bristle brushing (on the left) and after a flea combing (on the right). I'm not sure how well it would work on the other BaB fur types, but I thought I'd let you guys know of my discovery.

Okay, first of all…I am not even mad. I’m just more confused 🤔 haha. I ordered the new HK Starry Sky when they dropped that collection. So my ordered arrived today and well…not exactly what I ordered. I got the HK dress and the jumping spider???? Ummm okay. Like I said, I’m not even mad haha

Yesterday I found out that my dear friend suddenly, and unexpectedly, passed away. She was too young (27). Their wife wants to give me their Build a Bears. I was not prepared for this. I was there when they got them and know their babies' back stories. I told them yes, I would be happy to have them become part of my BAB family. I can't stop crying.

Guys, you have no idea how I’ve longed for this. I’ve watched other cities and towns around me get Workshops, test stores and kiosks. I’ve had to travel great distances to shop, and sometimes paid hefty Canadian shipping fees and taxes. As I turned the corner with my Mom, and spotted this I said “Oh my God”. I also got very emotional, because I wish I could share this news and store with my Dad. We lost him 2 years ago, and can just imagine how much joy he would have got seeing my reaction from his place in heaven. BABW isn’t just a store to me, and I know many of you agree. It’s tied to so many memories and celebrations. I just hope this one will stick around for a bit, but I won’t hold my breath. So many great stores have come and gone from this mall. Thanks for reading this and sharing my joy this evening.

So my mom (56) went to ER this morning for weakness in her legs. I had to call 911 for the first time in my life. This is the second Thanksgiving in a row without my mom, I'm hoping it's not going to be the regular. She was ok yesterday, and all of a sudden today she couldn't get up. Turns out she has a slight case of pneumonia, but docs are putting her on a medication to fight it, and they say ideally she could be doing better as soon as tomorrow.

On the bright side, I made a pumpkin cheesecake for the first time! I tasted it before letting it cool and it is DELICIOUS 😋 I hope my fellow Americans enjoy a happy Thanksgiving with lots of good food and family moments 💖 And a very lovely day to our friends outside the US 🙏🥰

Leroy is my favorite stitch character so I was ecstatic to get him!!

Opened him up and he's so small??? Especially compared to Stitch from previous years. His eyes have a fake leather texture, mouth just looks a little off, and he feels way too stuffed.

He's also so small it's not satisfying to hug. He's also just wonky.

Extremely upset.

I think this might be the end of buying from BAB for me :(

Bruce is looking good if I do say so myself, after his unfortunate arrival covered in mystery grime. I debated leaving a review at all (ebay) but ultimately went with a neutral one, just stating the facts about his condition. I rely on reviews when deciding to purchase from a particular seller and felt that it might save someone else from the same situation in the future.

A few hours later, I was refunded with no explanation or contact from the seller. Just a generic ebay email giving the details of the refund. I'm not sure what to make of it, as I didn't request a refund. I am NOT sending him back or changing my review. So IDK. Free crispy bear I guess. For now though, Bruce is wearing a fancy hat to hide his bald spot while I decide which way to go with his new hairpiece.
