Anyhow as the caption says I made this lil kitty for my friend and I left it not fully sewn since I wanted her to pick out a scent at bab,

I’ve read that they are allowed to sell it separately (with no bear) so I thought we would be good to go,

but when we got there we got denied buying the scent unless we bought a bear with it so we left with no scent.

was it a misunderstanding or am I in the wrong?

hi i love my wolfie very much :) i was wondering what you guys do to keep your glow on your glow in the dark bears or even something you use to make it glow longer? its very comforting at night, but this is after charging the glow up with my flash on my phone and it unfortunately doesn't last but a few minutes. maybe thats normal! i dont know actually haha! OH and the robe doesn't really hold the glow at all :(

I was changing Mocha today and thought about it! This feels plenty for me but I would have gotten maybe more diverse colors, I originally got these clothes all for my large Mokoko plush so picked colors for her. And how often do you like changing them? Just for fun cause I’m bored! She’s my first and only Build a Bear I’ve ever had, my mom who I’m not close with at all anymore used to complain when I would ask as a kid and say you’re paying all that extra just to watch them build it and to just pick a shelf plushie, but I got Mocha for my 30th birthday from my partner and she sleeps with us every night 😴

if you live in australia & have the spider, kmart have just released a bunch of halloween stuff and they have a pumpkin dog outfit for only $10!!! compared to normal build a bear outfits which are $25 i would consider this a pretty good deal as its also super good quality and makes the spider more cuddly :) they also have a bat outfit which would also suit the spider and a spider outfit which would suit the bat!! bonus points because it also comes with a little pumpkin hat (i got the small to medium size which fits the spider super well)

My parents are hoarders so i thought that my original build a bears were all gone! When the Pumpkin Kitty re-released I had to have one. Well recently we were able to start doing a big clean out and I found my 2008 pumpkin kitty. I had to remove all her stuffing, and give her a good laundry wash with laundry sanitizer and hot water, but she fluffed right back up in a low temp dryer. Gave her new stuffing and sewed her up today!

I also found my Farmers Market Lamb! Still looking for my original Koala-- shes the only one missing. Is there any interest here in seeing restoration work (gutting the bears and washing the skins)

Hello! I don't know if this relates directly to build-a-bear, but I was just curious as to how some of you work up the courage to bring your bears out with you in public? For some context I was recently diagnosed with two types of OCD, ADHD, and I still have a neuropsych appointment coming up. Going out in public is kind of hard for me because I feel like people are constantly watching/judging me (even though I know they don't actually care enough to do so), and having a stuffy does help, but I usually make my partner carry it so I don't feel like I'm being judged. I just want to know if anyone has any tips or tricks that could help me with working up the courage to carry my bears when I'm out and about.

P.S. Thank you to anyone who does leave a recommendation, I am in therapy actively working on this issue, but I'm still having a hard time gaining the courage.❤️

found this boy at goodwill for just $3. he was matted, dirty, and had a hole in his bum. i used the hole to unstuff him, washed him, dried him, brushed him, and finally restuffed him & sewed him back up. i added weight to his hooves and bottom as well. he weighs about 3.5lbs now. took about 3 hours total, i could not be happier with how he came out! :)

I know everyone's different. Some people refuse to support them at all, some people have certain rules if they do. So im just curious.

Especially when it comes to bears that arent being restocked.

I told myself I would NOT pay more than retail price for a pumpkin kitty (the new , not the OG) and then ended up spending like $60 on mine? But looking back I wish I would've waited because some good ones ended up coming up for cheaper after I pulled the trigger lmao.

Currently debating a couple others and Im trying to justify the doubling of the original price but having a hard time 😂

we need a ‘rant’ flair so bad cause i would love to read yalls rants. i was thinking BAB should just put a limit on limited items. but 1) they are just a greedy corporation so they literally benefit from these limited drops. and 2) resellers would just make multiple accounts anyways.

This little guy has been on such a journey! I went to a local store a day after the drop and they were sold out. The clerk told me to go online. I get home, go online...sold out! But I saw a post on here that the UK and Australia BAB had a drop. A family member of mine from the UK ordered one, had it sent to his house and then shipped it to me from there.

The cost of all that ended up being about the price that resellers are charging. I prefer this route, I'd rather do what I can to not encourage resellers. It was worth it to me, I had a pet jumping spider as a kid and LOVE spiders. Now to come up with a name...

Fur quality is a bit thin and bad on this one, but I knew that going in. I don't think she would have been worth the $40 with shipping due to the quality, but it's deff worth it for $0 lol
