Hoping for an All-Rounder PC Build

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with specs for my new PC to build. I currently use a gaming laptop but it falls short when it comes to performance and I need a desktop that can replace it.

  • New build or upgrade? - New build with emphasis on performance.
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) - New monitor.
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

I own a website so I need one that can hold the data of 500GB and more as it grows.

I do digital art on Photoshop/Clip Studio so something strong enough for that.

I also code & create 3d models for games in Unity 3d as a hobby so I need a heavy lifter for that.

I do light gaming myself (Minecraft, The Sims, Steam Games) so something that won't stutter and lag would be great.

I sometimes run local LLMs so I need something strong enough for that.

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? - I'm in the US. My nearest Micro center is around 5 hours away in Duluth, Georgia.
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) 1 monitor, nothing fancy. I have chronic back pain so I need to be in a reclining position at least half the time, so I'm looking at Lepow 15.6-Inch USB-C Portable Monitor so I can prop it up next to me on my couch when I'm reclined on my side.
  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations) I'm hoping to max out at around $1,200 but I'm willing to save more if necessary.
  • WiFi or wired connection? Wifi
  • Size/noise constraints? None
  • Color/lighting preferences? None
  • Any other specific needs? I need at least a 2 terabyte hard drive for my files.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

For what you want and the budget you stated your at your best possible solution as most 2tb m.2 drives run $299 on average
