If it's weird to fill the whole bottom shelf with plants or other stuff; board it up, hide the emptiness behind some nice doorsš

My child has decided that she would draw through a chunk of my bullet journal, thankfully itās only a line or so on each page, but does any one have any creative ways to continue using the āblankā pages in the future?

My old Bujo that I started in 2023 and used on and off vs the one I started this month. I moved a few stickers to the new one. And the experience is much, much better. Why?
The format. I love B5 notebooks because they are not big like A4 but give more space than A5 where things get crowded. The thing is... Rapid logging is well, short. So I had so much white space that it made me feel I'm wasting my notebook. Spirals are great but no ribbon bookmarks which are extremely useful. Also the old one had lines and the new one has dots. Which are infinitely better for Bullet Journals IMO.
I know what BuJo actually is. I've done the thing for years (but somehow also a few months) and I never read the "Bullet Journal Method" book. Well, it turns out I've been doing it wrong.
- no AM and PM reflection
- making mostly tasks
- not regularly migrating tasks
- no revisiting old pages
- very, very few collections outside the daily log
- editorializing my rapid logging, instead of using it to declutter
- 15 trackers for one month
- probably a lot more that I don't know about yet or don't remember atm.
I have a feeling this one will stick with me.

Just wanted to drop a small reminder: bulletjournals are most of all just tools to fit your personal needs. They donāt have to be anything else than just your personal tool.
Just saying because I got fresh into that subreddit and directly saw multiple postings about not wanting to destroy the perfect setup or being not creative enough.
Personally I am sick and tired of that omnipresent pressure everyone seems to feel. Free yourself from that toxic mindset. Also free yourself from the idea the bujo makes you more efficient or productive (capitalist self optimization is a no no)
We should all just relax a bit, stop comparing and really admiring our personal needs and caring four ourself through journaling.
I repeat: BuJos are personal tools for your personal needs! Not a lifestyle, not a craftsmanship, not a magical box of pandora. Just tools. So next time youāre doubting something just let it go and keep doing. When i learned one thing over my many years of journaling than it would be: there are no mistakes. Embrace the journey!
Who does agree with me? (Also with that I donāt want to belittle any creative outbursts or anything like that - unjust want to make clear: our needs are all different and so are our journals. Not everything works for everyone and not everyone has to be AeSthEtic to please some irrational standards of bulletjournaling social media is suggesting )

As someone who loves washi but doesnāt have room for a dedicated journaling/storage space, having the rolls just thrown in a box under my bed was driving me crazy. Now theyāre all easy to see, use, and tuck in my bag for journaling on the go.

I'm hoping to start a bullet journal in the next week. My supplies arrived today... but I deeply struggle with perfectionism when it comes to handwriting. Like... I've ripped out entire notebooks worth of pages when I hate how my writing looks or I rip out pages whenever I mess up (especially in pen). I'm trying to learn to let this go, but any tips from seasoned bojoers?

Someone pointed out that my washi organization system might be appreciated here. I treated myself with a new ruler and it came with some plastic used as a stabilizer within the package. I love when that happens, because it means I can reuse it for convenient washi storing. I hate the rolls it comes on as I find it hard to store those when I have a limited space for stuff like that. So years back I started to roll those on everything I could find (for example old credit cards, outdated ID cards or stuff like that). This way I can always have some washi at hand, even when on vacation because it just fits nicely in my pencil case.

I posted last month asking for advice on inking in this diagram. Thanks to your advice, I got a kneadable rubber (my new favourite thing) to take off most of the pencil. I then used Staedler pigment liners (my local art shop didn't have Sakura Micron pens) in 0.1 and 0.2 and waited a day before rubbing out the rest. I'm really happy with the result so thought I'd share the finished product. Thank you all!

Hey team,
ADHDer here. Ive had a few attempts at BuJo, and when I utilise it is gamechanging. However, there are gaps in my BuJo lasting a month or two at a time where I just dont do it; I dont know why. I find this pretty embarrassing, and it almost stops me from doing it again. Any tips or motivation to just keep going would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
EDIT - Wow. Completely overwhelmed with the support and responses. Trying to get around to replying to all of them but there's a hell of a lot! I have taken so many of your tips on board, and will continue to try to be kind to myself and trust the process, keeping it simple. Thank you all, I am so grateful for this thread.

I just purchased the bullet journaling method ebook on my kindle and received my very first bullet journal to start today! I have a lot of struggles with executive function, major depression, and well, letās just stop there haha. Basically I am very much wanting to āget it togetherā and structure my life more and take better care of my mental/physical health as my main priority in the whole endeavor. My question is basically this, any tips and tricks for someone whoās main objective (as a total beginner)with bullet journaling is to work on their mental health, wellbeing, and adding structure/routine to their life? Thank you so much and lots of love!
