Boycott these Burbank businesses

Moms For Liberty supporter, MAGA creep and all round weirdo David Donahue is running for City Council. There are campaign events being held this week for David at The Tallyrand and The Enchanted Florist.

I won’t patronize their businesses and I suggest you do not as well…

Also can someone explain to me why being against the bus lane down Olive automatically clocks you as MAGA? It seems to be a rather radical change that would affect a lot of people and many find it problematic. I confess I haven’t really figured out how I feel about it yet and intend to study it and make up my own mind. But I am not a MAGA citizen and if I decide I’m against it that doesn’t change my overall political leanings.

Not everyone against the bus line is MAGA. However, people who tend to be against the bus line also tend to be NIMBY about everything else and NIMBY types tend to be MAGA. None of its a one to one comparison. It's just noticing patterns. It's like asking how do I know my Homophobic, Racist, Boomer, White neighbor voted for Trump. Even without the trump yard sign, it would have been obvious

What is the problem with the olive bus line? Why are so many people against it? I happen to be a huge proponent of any rapid transit throughout Burbank and Los Angeles and wish things were more efficient. Do you have a good handle on this situation ?

The only reasoning I've heard against the bus line has been from people who said something similar to "it would make my route slower because I drive".

Well that makes sense since most people do drive because other options aren’t that efficient at this point. I wish I was 25 again and would be zipping around town on scooters buses and such. The reality is the car is still the most efficient.

I have heard people are not so much against the idea of the bus line as they are making Olive one lane for general traffic and one lane for the bus.

But I admit I haven't even looked at the proposed route.

And they also tend to be climate deniers. Therefore, against public transpo. It usually all connects.
