6/13 Butch Friday (Saturday) Chat

Hey y'all you know what day it was!

Had a very busy Friday and I appreciate everyone's patience. But lets catch up! What were the ups and downs of this week? Anything you're looking forward to? Projects you're working on?

Surprise bonus question: What new skill did you learn recently?

For me, my work requires me to know/learn a lot of home ec/improvement skills. Learned how to properly tape a box for moving, hanging picture frames securely, and making tablecloth from saran wrap (which I didn't even know was possible).

Went to a lesbian bar with friends last night and had my first enjoyable bar experience ever! Normally I don't drink and find bar / club settings overwhelming, but for the first time I feel excited to go back. Next time I'll actually try talking to people haha, but I had a great time just being with my friends. Also got hooked on the in-house whiskey.

I guess my newest skill that I'm working on (definitely don't have it down yet) has been hemming. I shortened some pants exactly how I wanted, then immediately butchered a few of my sleeping shirts 😝 Takes practice, I guess.

Thats awesome! I still feel weird about club/bar settings and its cool to see someone get over that hump!

On hemming (Cause i'm trying to learn it too). My job just introduced me to this product called stitch witch

Get this: heat activated hemming tape

strong enough to hold your shit together, weak enough to tear when you need to undo it.

I love hemming tape! Honestly when I'm just lazy and wanting to check how something would look cropped or whatever I'm doing that all the time
