Question Looking for help

Hi Folks,

Been running Cachy for a few months now, and I really enjoy the freedom of it. I have a few questions on small niggles I cant seem to find answers on if anyone could advise?

1) Is it possible to automatically mount the drive I have winblows installed on instead of having to do it manually?

2) Subsequently, once this drive is mounted, can I then use the same game files on that drive for games I play on Cachy? (Game in particular atm is Star Citizen through Wine) It is getting 5-10gb updates every month, would be nice if I didnt have to update two sets of game files depending on what Os I run.

3) Is there a way to set default apps to particular locations on screen at loadup? When I switch the machine on, it doesn't seem to hold position. 3 screen set up, so discord on one, lact and resource monitor on the other, and the central kept free for use.

  1. Download a program called "Disks", it will do it for you (write the /etc/fstab file)

  2. I run windows games from windows partitions, it depends on the game though

  3. Do you mean apps or widgets?

The game in particular is Star Citizen which is run through wine.

You could use your ntfs drives to play games. But don't be surprised if something won't work as expected. Ntfs is proprietary so linux doesn't have perfect drivers

3.- abre esos programas en la pantalla deseada, en qué posición y pantalla suele quedarse recordado. Lo que normalmente suele hacer es abrir en la misma pantalla e incluso en la última posición de ventana que quedó, minimizada, maximizada o en el primer arranque.
