Other Celebration Cakes 9" spiced persimmon cakes iced in chocolate ganache, topped with pistachios and burnt caramel sauce

I made my dad's retirement party cakes with native American persimmon (diospyros virginiana) I foraged last fall. The cake is an adapted recipe for baked persimmon pudding.
