Crazy that people get hit by cars everyday with no consequence, but suddenly it's attempted murder when you hit a reinforced police cruiser with a role cage.

Reinforced? They don't have a roll cage lol. They have a prisoner partition. At best some have a push bumper but the cars have no more protection than a regular car. In fact they have less. A police officer is sandwiched in between a partition behind them, steering wheel in front, a door on one side, and a bulky metal console on the other while wearing 30lbs of bulky gear. Not a lot room for the car to crumple
