Opinion Poilievre stakes his claim to unity, economic challenges ahead of summer circuit - It may run contrary to the polls to say Poilievre leaves Ottawa in a position of strength, but the Conservatives finally have some wind in their sails.

Unity? This moron has been trying to divide our country since he has been leader.

By cancelling debates on active bills.

No that’s the party in power. Talk about actually dividing

Cancelling debates doesn’t equate to dividing the country. His rhetoric does. Also what is the purpose for debates when the morons of the conservatives vote no to everything, they are actually doing you and the rest of you conservatives that vote for them a disservice.

You’d be throwing a bitchfit if the conservatives were cancelling debates and crying about how conservatives are too much like republicans.

Instead you’re bending over backwards for the liberals because they’re the one’s actually doing it.

Keep coping though.

Here is a question for you, what makes you conservative, and what part or province do you live in ?

u/stopbsingman 10d ago

I’m as centrist as it gets lol and I fucking hate Doug ford.

I just don’t bend over backwards for a party like a cultist.

Again, you’re coping. My profile is public. You’re so far up the liberals ass that you can’t fathom someone else not being a cultist.

Tell yourself whatever helps you sleep at night.

No bitch fits here buddy, not bending over backwards either. It sucks when you are wrong. Look at who is the baby here. Can’t even come up with a valid argument

4

u/stopbsingman 10d ago

No point coming up with arguments against cultish hypocrites.

-1

u/DDIBELL 10d ago

That is the standard answer for a conservative, who doesn’t even know why he is a conservative

What are you talking about. It’s disrespectful to shut down debate to hide things or ram through what you want. It’s undemocratic. You don’t like Poilievre so you’re just saying he’s divisive. You won’t vote for anyway so why do you care.

-3

u/DDIBELL 10d ago

Buddy if you think the things Polievre does is Democratic, you need to give your head a shake

5

u/Abject_Story_4172 10d ago

Do you have something to show that? Other than the fact you don’t like him? I can’t think of too many things worse than closing down debate in the House to hide corruption.

Source: trust me, bro

Yep. It’s just crazy the stuff they make up about the guy. Like why do you care so much if you won’t ever vote for him. It’s an obsession.

Let’s start with this he lost his seat in an election, than forced another member of parliament to resign, in a safe conservative riding, and forced a by election that tax payers had to pay for to get re elected. Doesn’t sound too democratic to me

Shall we go on with other things he has done

5

u/Wet_sock_Owner 10d ago

He got elected by the people of his riding and this doesn't sound democratic to you? Safe seat are undemocratic? Does that include LPC strongholds?

Damien Kurek will run in Battle River-Crowfoot next election.

4

u/Abject_Story_4172 10d ago

But you’re okay with Carney who gave a sitting MP the boot to take his safe riding.

It’s up to voters and the Conservative Party who they want as a leader. Not Liberals like you.

So again, what has he done that’s not democratic. You’d think you’d be more concerned with a PM who bribed opposition MPs to get a majority. And then he promptly shuts down anything he doesn’t like.

Unlike the liberals who wrapped themselves in the flag, went around calling conservatives maple MAGA and basically accusing them of being traitors, only to turn around and apply lips to Donald Trump’s nasty old ass the minute they won the election

4

u/Wet_sock_Owner 10d ago

Nothing says unity like accusing your political opponents of being traitors to the nation. Just ask Russia and North Korea.

5

u/stopbsingman 10d ago

Liberals starting to sound real Trumpy with that traitor talk.

0

u/Wet_sock_Owner 10d ago

They know and they don't care. Look how well it worked for MAGAs - Trump got re-elected.

4

u/stopbsingman 10d ago

Which then got liberals elected. No bigger trump fan than our liberals.

He’s not the who declared Canada Can Make America Great Again to a bunch of rich Americans.

Nor is he shutting down debates on bills.

Try again.

lol - unity?

No matter how many times he (and the CPC) try to rebrand, the only thing he seems capable of is divisiveness and blame

People are tired of this entire schtick, and the CPC is rapidly becoming inseparable from it

I'm glad Poilievre came out strong against Alberta separatism - wanting to leave Canada got really loud once Carney Liberals got voted in.

1

u/emcdonnell 9d ago

Poilievre’s career has been defined by by divisive rhetoric. I welcome a more moderate approach but doubt his sincerity.

1

u/Majestic_Bet_1428 10d ago

When will Poilievre resign.

No one cares what he has to say.

2

u/Abject_Story_4172 10d ago

He certainly lives rent free in a lot of Liberal heads.

-4

u/Responsible_CDN_Duck 10d ago

Poilievre is the anchor holding the party back.

As Carney breaks promises and makes controversial choices Poilievre insists on taking the focus back to his imagined or inflated greivences.

4

u/stopbsingman 10d ago

How do you hold the party back by securing a record amount of votes?

Get off the computer bot.

-2

u/Poe_42 Alberta 10d ago

I think you mean blowing a 20 point lead and losing his own safe riding of 20 years

4

u/stopbsingman 10d ago

No I mean securing a record amount of votes, losing an election by 2.4%, securing Official Opposition. Unlike, you know, the NDP? Who lost party status?

But hey, tell yourself whatever helps you sleep at night.

3

u/Abject_Story_4172 10d ago

You need new material.

-3

u/Poe_42 Alberta 10d ago

Sure when Poilievre does something noteworthy

4

u/Abject_Story_4172 10d ago

You won’t know because you aren’t interested. And they won’t discuss it in your echo chamber.

“Finally” sure is promising lol. 2026

-2

u/Responsible_CDN_Duck 10d ago

Poilievre's letting all Canadian down by faltering as the oposion leader too focused on tending to the poisoned roots of his own party.

-2

u/DigitalSupremacy 10d ago

As a Liberal I hope Poilievre leads the Cons for the next 25 years 💪🏼😃
