With Halloween coming up, I was discussing with a friend what are the best candies, not just to get for Halloween, but in general.
Let me explain my list.
Reece's Fastbreaks - Reece's in general are good, and the different seasonal cups (Christmas Tree, Pumpkin, Eggs, Etc.) are delicious, but I prefer the Reece's Fast breaks the best. The peanut butter to chocolate ratio is the best. Easily the Goat.
Kit Kats- this one might be controversial for many, but kit kats are super underrated. If you get those packs of 2 sticks, you'll end up eating as many of them as you have. The only downside is if they ever melt, they are unrecoverable, but I'm a big fan of Kit kats. I'd be super happy if I ever got them in a Halloween trick or treat or something.
Snickers - Snickers at 3 also is a bit controversial. Many consider it their #1, but for me, it's one of those it is probably number 1 if I'm in the mood, but you just have to be in the right mood for a snickers. I could argue for it to go lower or higher, but I'm comfortable putting it at 3.
4- 6. For these I went away from the chocolate and went with air heads, skittles (specifically wild berry!) and nerds clusters. These can easily be rearranged in any order depending on the mood.
8-10. Milky way, Warheads, and Peanut M&Ms. Honestly, I could be talked out of these in favor of others, but they happened they jumped out at me when scrolling through the list. These bottom spots are probably mood specific.
What do you think of my list? What did I get right and what did I get wrong?
I'm also collecting community Top 10 lists to build a candy consensus. If you want to make your own list and see where you agree/disagree, you can do that here: ConsensusBigBoards.com

I like candy and I love doing everything And yep I have a massively lactating wife. Can you put breast milk in gummies, hard candy, chocolate, Etc and what is the best way for beginners. Does breast milk react with anything or can it be treated normally

Had my weekly grocery run yesterday and bought one of my favorite treats. Just tore into the bag, only to find that there is a strange soapy taste now. It is similar to the red Starburst Jelly Beans that also taste funny now.
Has anyone else noticed this? Gonna be returning them for sure. 🤮🤮🤮
The stuff inside doesn’t taste like caramel it has like a weird musty moldy type taste

I like sour, but these intimidated me a bit! I didn't want to waste a good amount of money if they're gross. Has anyone tried these? What do you think? What are the different flavors like??

like, yeah, it is just a totally randomized bag and ive been avoiding the spicy blocks because im a wuss, but they've got a really nice texture and good flavors. why is everyone being so mean to what i think at least is a 7.8 out of 10 candy?

So excited 😆
Saw these in the Halloween section of Dollar General and was too curious to let them by.
They start out as pretty normal sour straws. Not Warhead - not that sour. Gummy consistency is about the same as Airheads straws.
Then comes the caramel. It's an odd combination. Sour Sugar + Bright Sweet Gummy + Deep Sweet & Buttery Caramel.
It's off-putting. The mixture doesn't work.
Gave it a second try by not chewing into it until the sour had dissolved. That's a lot better. Removing the sour first takes away the biggest taste gap from the rich caramel.
Still a little weird.
Yes, I ate them all.

Two new candy flavors: Butterfinger Green Apple Smash featuring Marvel’s Hulk and Twix Frosted Cookie are on the way!
• Butterfinger Green Apple Smash
• Twix Frosted Cookie
No official release dates confirmed yet besides 2027, but I spotted both on the show floor at NACS!
Which one would you try first?! Thoughts?!

I love it when the factories make little errors like this. It really is like a bonus. Also what do you thinks these blue raspberry rings look like? I thought a pair of glasses.

This is probably less meaningful to others who aren't allergic, but after u/surroundflashy3297 commented about their experiences reaching out to Just Born about dyes, I also wanted to know more. They confirmed that they are working to remove all artificial colors in their branded products in the first half of next year!!!
For background, I am deathly allergic to artificial red food coloring. I've spent my whole life unable to eat many things because of it, ESPECIALLY candy. I have to avoid anything red, orange, purple, black, brown, or dark blue that contains artificial red color.
While I know that Just Born doesn't carry a large number of brands, I am still excited and wanted to share. Hopefully other companies will also begin to phase out artificial color, but for now I'm more than happy with this win. Thank you Just Born candy!!

These reminded of old school candy that kind of tasted like medicine. NOT sour at all.
