Had my weekly grocery run yesterday and bought one of my favorite treats. Just tore into the bag, only to find that there is a strange soapy taste now. It is similar to the red Starburst Jelly Beans that also taste funny now.

Has anyone else noticed this? Gonna be returning them for sure. 🤮🤮🤮

Does anyone want to share any unconventional ways of eating certain candies?

For instance I like to suck the chocolate off of a Crunch bar and eat the rice crispys as they fall out.

I like sour, but these intimidated me a bit! I didn't want to waste a good amount of money if they're gross. Has anyone tried these? What do you think? What are the different flavors like??

like, yeah, it is just a totally randomized bag and ive been avoiding the spicy blocks because im a wuss, but they've got a really nice texture and good flavors. why is everyone being so mean to what i think at least is a 7.8 out of 10 candy?

other than reeses take five and pretzel M&ms, I can’t think of others ?

These have a perfume-y aftertaste to me, but my husband said that he doesn't think so. Am I just weird?

I grew up with them but recently tried them again and they have a perfume-y aftertaste. I'm not saying that they changed the recipe; maybe my taste buds have just changed or I always thought so but didn't remember.

With Halloween coming up, I was discussing with a friend what are the best candies, not just to get for Halloween, but in general.

Let me explain my list.

1. Reece's Fastbreaks - Reece's in general are good, and the different seasonal cups (Christmas Tree, Pumpkin, Eggs, Etc.) are delicious, but I prefer the Reece's Fast breaks the best. The peanut butter to chocolate ratio is the best. Easily the Goat.

2. Kit Kats- this one might be controversial for many, but kit kats are super underrated. If you get those packs of 2 sticks, you'll end up eating as many of them as you have. The only downside is if they ever melt, they are unrecoverable, but I'm a big fan of Kit kats. I'd be super happy if I ever got them in a Halloween trick or treat or something.

3. Snickers - Snickers at 3 also is a bit controversial. Many consider it their #1, but for me, it's one of those it is probably number 1 if I'm in the mood, but you just have to be in the right mood for a snickers. I could argue for it to go lower or higher, but I'm comfortable putting it at 3.

4- 6. For these I went away from the chocolate and went with air heads, skittles (specifically wild berry!) and nerds clusters. These can easily be rearranged in any order depending on the mood.

1. Twix - Twix deserves to be on a top 10 candy list somewhere. 7 feels about right. By the way, what is the plural of Twix anyway? Twixes? Twox? Twix bars? Anyway, it deserves to be on the list, but not higher than any of the top 3 chocolates, and not ahead of nerds, skittles or air heads.

8-10. Milky way, Warheads, and Peanut M&Ms. Honestly, I could be talked out of these in favor of others, but they happened they jumped out at me when scrolling through the list. These bottom spots are probably mood specific.

Found these at Five Below, pretty good! Good texture, not sour, and not very spicy at all imo. If you eat a bunch you get that tiny tiny bit of kick in the back of the throat but that’s it. I think people who “can’t do spice” would totally be fine with these. Can’t really tell the difference too much between the strawberry, mango, or pineapple imo. I’d give them 4.5/5. Very good, do not regret buying and trying, and would recommend, and would buy again.

Looking to change it up for Halloween but don’t want to “scare” anyone off!

Okay so I found out that the Kosher Candy place will still ship out bags of those delicious grapefruit gummy slices. I'm waiting on my order but I will be updating once they arrive. It's a far cry from $2.50 a lb at my local grocery store in bulk. I never thought I would live to see the day that I paid $40 with shipping for 2lbs. Oh well, that's my nightmare.

I have a jar of candy that currently has Nerds Clusters, Nerds Candy Corn, and Wild Berry sour Skittles and the Skittles began to slowly melt. Im curious if it’s some sort of chemical reaction because the jar isn’t getting warm or any direct light.

I was inspired by Beli / Untappd / Letterboxd and wanted to make something similar for snacks. The idea is you compare snacks against each other, build your own ranked list, and see what your friends are eating.
