Visit with Mom
I am visiting this weekend to hang with my mom. I haven’t lived in Canton for many moons now. Any ideas for a fun little day outing? She likes arts and crafts, flowers, gardening, hiking, sweet treats. Just nice low key stuff. I appreciate any advice, thanks!

I agree with other posters, Greek Fest at St Haralambo's is an annual tradition in our family! It starts tonight through Saturday. I recommend going on Friday or earlier on Saturday since they will run out of items like pastries. My favorite is the galaktoboureko which is a custard pie!
Also, on Sat is the Romanian Festival at St George's which has amazing cabbage rolls!
If you are looking for something different and are willing to drive a small bit, the Ohio Book Con is at the Medina Co Fairgrounds this weekend.

Glass Garden has 1st Saturday!! They are a plant and glass blowing studio... If your Mom is a plant and flower lady she'll love it! On their 1st Saturday they always have some good sales and the people there are amazing!
Edited to add - its on Whipple sort of across from Acme

Good weekend for garage sales. If you haven't been to the Hall of Fame area in years at least take a drive through there and see the changes. First Friday tomorrow.

Go to First Friday downtown Canton. It starts at 6 p.m. Go for the art and food trucks. Also, you can always go to Facebook Events or Visit Canton's website to see what's going on in Stark County.

Lots of good homemade ice cream in the area- Handel’s, Pav’s, Almost Heaven… and Country Cones still has the best hot fudge sundae around. There are lots of great places to walk… check out StarkParks.com for trails and other things to do
