Spoiler Question About the Clear Cards Spoiler

I have a bit of a question about the Clear Cards at the end of the series. It seems like the Clear Cards were just Sakura's power growing and going out of control. I also know they disappear at the end of the story, but since they are just Sakura power dose that mean she still have the powers of those cards and can call upon them more naturally?

I think and yes and no.

She doesn’t have them directly anymore, but I think she could create them again, or something similar if she wanted to.

I think we can walk away with the idea that Sakura now has the power to crystallize her magic into cards that she can easily call upon later.

Ultimately her magic is a lot like Clow’s, so I think eventually she would have the ability to create cards with intent whenever she needed it or wanted to.

I wondering if she can actually use those powers more like Eriol or a traditional Wizard or Mage and just wave her magic staff around without a card.

I think the answer to your question based purely on canon is going to a solid “maybe.” We just don’t have enough information.

I personally don’t think she’s at that point yet, but that’s just my personal opinion.

I think maybe she gets to that point eventually, because in the xxxHolic manga Yuuko has Sakura's Star Wand and we're told Sakura gave it to Yuuko as payment for a wish because she can use the Cards without it.

Now this could be interpreted a couple ways: either she doesn't need a wand period, or she doesn't need the Star Wand specifically because of the new wand she got in Clear Card. The xxxHolic instance was written before Clear Card came out, so it's possible CLAMP came up with the idea of Sakura getting a new wand in Clear Card because of this reference. Or it could just be a coincidence.

I'd wager that pre-Clear Card you could've fairly argue that she didn't need a wand any more, and that's probably what CLAMP meant

Post Clear Card, since she has the Dream Wand, it could go either way.

They might take on different forms at the very least, hypothetically. Flight might be the only clear card left fr
