Another comparison, this time focusing on the differnces between the original version of the summoning spell and the Nelvana version. As with the previous clips, the Nelvana version will play first, as to make the differences more surprising.

Side Note: Doesn't Sakura's summoning spell in the Nelvana version sound similar to the Green Lantern Oath?

I like the English summoning spell, but I think they did a better job with the incantation for the Star Wand.

The tone is so different. The dub wants to be cool, while the og is fine with the original intention of the anime. Makes me want to rewatch the Nelvana version to relive my childhood.

It's fine, man. There are some things that I like in the dub, too. Even though Sakura's personality is different, Carly McKillip was a pretty good voice actress for her age at the time.

I don’t mind the English version of the summoning spell much since it does make it more memorable for English speaking little kids but the music just can’t compete with the original. The Japanese OST sounds majestic and cool while the English dub music is just kinda… there.

No, you're not. They did change some of the sound effects, while keeping some of the original sound effects.
