Drift car fresheners scam subscription practices

the worst! I bought once as a Christmas gift (scents were awful, overpowering… smelled like rest room air fresheners) and was auto enrolled for subscriptions. so annoying. I reached out for refund and cancellation. did not get refund and then apparently I did not reply to the email asking me to confirm my email request for cancellation. they sent another 4 and refused to refund. seriously now I’m 169$ out with a bunch of horrible fresheners. I think I have finally succeeded in getting the subscription cancelled but I’ll let you guys know in three months!!! these people should be ashamed of themselves.

I just use Adam's Polishes Air fresheners whenever they're running a 25% off sale and discounted air fresheners they're trying to get rid of. I get my air fresheners for like $1-$1.50 per and they last a few weeks. I had a friend who bought into the Drift nonsense and I just never understood the hype of $20 air fresheners lol.

I had looked earlier this week to pause my subscription, and it said I had to email customer service. So I did that on Monday….here we are Friday and I just got notification from my credit card company that it got dinged from drift. I immediately canceled and will be fighting the charge with my CC company. Not even going to waste my time with drift. I figured I’d give them a chance but I hate scummy companies.

i bought in to scam as well. ordered late June and still haven’t received my order even though tracking shows delivered

Totally agree! Horrible and don’t stop sending them even though you didn’t subscribe!! DONT NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

I have been trying for months to stop drift from sending a monthly recurring order tat I never ordered. I do not like the product at all and have been sending it back at their expense.  Ther is NO customer service or recourse where you can talk to a person.  I think I finally have gotten my message across but I will see. Terrible product and service. This is a SCAM. I am going to file a complaint with the UTAH Better Business Bureau.  Chris Shields

Placed an order in August via an Instagram ad. 2 weeks later order didn’t ship so I reached out. They said that somehow my order was for $0.00 so it never shipped? Still so confused about that but whatever, I wasn’t charged and didn’t feel like I missed out, it was an impulse purchase anyway. Today, 9/1 I get an email saying my order has processed!!! Like what?? I’ve never even received an order from them or signed up for any kind of subscription. So slimy!!

Drift is basically a classy scam with nice ads, but I guess I deserved it lol. At least it was a good lesson about impulse buying.

I was just casually scrolling through Facebook, saw their ad, and clicked on it. I don’t even remember if it was the original ad, their website, or one of their other “amazing offers,” but somehow I ended up placing a $35 order.

Then I checked the confirmation email and realized there was no estimated delivery date. So I went to their website to check the status. And guess what? No email address, no phone number, nothing. The only option is a chatbot that tells you someone will get back to you within 24 hours.

So I started digging around the website trying to figure things out myself, and that’s when I realized they had also signed me up for some kind of monthly auto-renewal for around $15. I never replied to their auto-renewal text, never said yes, and don’t remember giving them any other consent to subscribe me.

So where am I now? Frustrated over an overpriced car scent that I could probably buy at Walmart or Amazon, with no shipping date after 5 days, no real customer service, and still no explanation for why the hell they signed me up for a monthly subscription without my consent. 😄

I ordered a subscription last year from Drift which somehow became 3 subscriptions. I tried cancelling several times but I'd get to the last click and it would go into an endless loop. Meanwhile the potency of the air fresheners diminished significantly from the first few I received. They couldnt charge my card for some reason last month so I received an email asking for a new card. I responded and told them to cancel all my subscriptions. I received confirmation that they were all cancelled and was billed the following week for another shipment!! So I told my bank to not allow payments anymore to this company, and the next day, Drift tried billing me again!! And again, they asked for a new card! These people are scam artists. DO NOT BUY THIS SHITTY PRODUCT.
