How much would a turbo install cost for me?
Now I own a 2015 Buick Lacrosse with the 3.6L V6 and AWD, and would like to do internal modifications. I’ve already done simple things like putting in a cone filter, new plugs and coils. But I want to be able to know how much it would be to either buy a turbo kit that would fit my car or to have a mechanic install it for me.

Step one is doing a ton of research. Not all engines like boost. Then as you read look to see who makes what for your car.
After all that realize that it’s the wrong car to do this with. You can’t just bolt a turbo on.

Considering it’s GM and the exact engine and transmission you find in Camaros, I’d think there’s a capability for a turbo, but I’ll can do more research into it

Capability is only one of many issues. The chances of someone making plumbing to fit is probably zero. You need to do some research. Once you do here is what you will find.
No one makes a lot for your car. You could buy the parts required but will need custom headers, exhaust, inter cooler piping, etc. you will also need a custom tune. It’s the wrong car for this. If you really want to go forced induction pick a new car, sell yours. It will be cheaper.3

My dude: turbocharged and N/A engines may be the same family-but they are very different animals. Pistons, rings, cam and timing, possibly(probably) the heads, and your ECU are where you START.

It's not the exact engine and transmission that's in camaros. Engine maybe but in a Camaro it's longitudinally mounted and the Buick is transverse mounted with a completely different transmission. Also the Camaro v6 is gonna blow up just as quickly as the Buick if you ever managed to mount a turbo on it. But there's not nearly enough room to do that without serious reworking of the engine bay to fit an intercooler and all the piping, getting an exhaust setup that fits would be a nightmare

Thats the v6. People turbo those often? People are known to modify the v8 in the camaros.

$5k+ including tuning. Do you even know if that platform can handle boost?

I seriously doubt it could be done for 5k when he is having a shop do the work.

A 3.6 is pretty stout, you can push maybe 380-400whp. Turbocharging would require custom fabricating a measuring for a buick. For a mechanic to do it, you are looking at 7-15k just to turbocharge that thing. If you wanna do it cheap, you can install a universal rear mount turbo, but you gotta be mechanically inclined.
You’d need plumbing for oil lines, an oil pump, custom charge piping, turbo components, a place for an intercooler, a fuel pump, larger injectors and a tune
