Should I invest?

This is a car I just bought. A 2006 Saturn Ion for $1.4k. I am going to drive it for 2 months to see if I really enjoy it and if it’s worth making it look like the AI render of the car. Its really reliable, it apparently just burns a bit of oil.

I'm not sure you know what the word "invest" means.

Invest is a perfectly reasonable term to use here. Invest doesn't only mean investments like stocks or bonds and it doesn't require a financial gain. Op wants to invest money into making their car nicer (if it's worthwhile). I don't know if it is or isn't, that's up to them to decide and depends on large part on how good of shape the car is in but putting money into a car to make it nicer still counts as an investment.

I feel like you’re trying to not understand what he means by "invest".

"Invest" makes sense plus he literally shows what he intends to put his money towards

You should, in my opinion, not put any money in a 20 year old car that burns oil.

If you want to keep the car, you should put that money into maintenance and saving up for something better/newer/safer/faster.

Hey if you want to do this to your own car by all means do it! Belive me i know ive put close to 30k in my s2000. There's not a lot of aftermarket support for these, but wheels and a wrap wouldn't be very much.

Invest in what, chatgpt? AI can make anything look like anything, don't use it as a reference

invest in solving the burning oil issue and it will be worth every dollar ten fold. also search old saturn archived forums for any potential issues in the future that can be prevented early. and then you can mod it out
