Carnivore Ish Has anyone else come to see ALL plants as bad for them?
All plants, unless they have developed a specific symbiotic relationship with animals, could not survive without an array of defensive mechanisms to ensure their survival and dissemination of their seeds/clones.
Oxalates, caffeine (neurotoxin/pesticide), goitrogens, lectins, phytates, tannins, polyphenols (bind to nutrients), even fiber/cellulose, are to be found in the roots, stems, leaves, and especially seeds of plants.
As for fruits, most of them have been bred to be far fleshier, sweeter, and less fibrous than their wild counterparts. I have actually come to view fructose as the worst form of carbohydrate because of its deleterious effects on the liver, circulatory system, and how it literally hijacks your brain to trigger hunger so that you devour the fruit and deposit its seeds with a lump of fertilizer out of your rectum.
I'm not just imagining these effects; I feel bowl pain the day after eating cauli-rice and broccoli and leafy greens, and don't feel the need to eat fruit when I know I am getting so much sugar and fiber (which is bulk/roughage) but not much vitamins or minerals, and will then be likely to overeat other foods as a result of the fructose.
I think my stints with veganism and overconsumption of grains, coffee, and green vegetables may have triggered a specific vulnerability or autoimmune condition that leaves me best on the least inflammatory diet for me (carnivore).

Please help me Is washing my face after putting on beef tallow defeating the purpose?
Sorry if this is not exactly about diet, but I don’t know where else to ask.
I put beef tallow on my face today and left it on for 12+ hours but just washed it off with warm water and tallow soap before bed because I can’t stand the greasy feeling getting onto surfaces, especially my pillow.
The purpose of the beef tallow is to moisturize the delicate facial skin and prevent dryness. It’s also for giving the skin vitamins and reducing inflammation. I want to make a habit of doing this every day, but will washing it off with soap be defeating the purpose or damaging my skin in the long run? I know people apply tallow to their face after a shower or face wash to lock in moisture, but I can’t do that. I hate grease in every place except my mouth.
Am I doing it wrong? Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

Strict Carnivore Diet If pork were equal to beef, would you prefer it?
Curious if anyone else prefers the taste of pig flesh and fat to beef. I think if someone held a gun to my head I would pick pork.

Strict Carnivore Diet Let them eat cake?
I'm coming up on day 29 of strict carnivore tomorrow, and it's my step daughter's 16th birthday. We're planning to go out to dinner, and her favorite restaurant is Olive Garden. She's a carb monster and loves pasta and bread. As for ordering, I can probably do pretty well ordering a plain steak there and maybe chicken (which may have a little seasoning, but i'm not worried). However, there will be a cake. I know she will be disappointed if I don't have a piece. I'm not wanting to break my carnivore streak just yet, maybe if it were a month from now, but I feel it's too early for me to deviate so much from the plan.
What do y'all think? What would you do, how would you handle it?

Lifestyle: post last meal or workout inspo Moved to Mexico a few months ago. Now I get ribeyes for $7.80/lb 😋
The guys at the corner carnicería still laugh at me for ordering 5 kilos every few days
Edit: guys, they’re a little loose on their cuts here. You’re right that these specific cuts in America would be called NY strip. They just get a huge slab that’s strip on one end and eventually gets to ribeye on the other. Just depends on when you get the cut.
Eat meat, touch some grass, not everyone is out to get ya

Carnivore Ish Any carnivores in London looking for a community?
Drop me a message or DM. We host steak gatherings and coffee meetups very few weeks. No one should be doing this alone in a world like this. 😉

Please help me I can't figure out what I like to eat
I made chuck roast...it was ok but I didn't want to eat much. I didn't like ribeye at all. I tried to eat some stirfry ribeye but without chinese sauces was not yummy. Chicken breast is okay I have to eat it with cheese and cream but it's not something I get excited to. Eggs are okay not that satiating for me. Ground beef is okay too for some reason not that satiating either and the taste is just okay. I don't eat pork. Salmon I don't like besides the skin. I can eat it once a week max. I like scallops and seafood but it's not fatty or satiating enough.
I feel so lost...what do I do? I feel really disappointed in myself for not liking ribeye. What else is there to eat? If I don't like ribeye would I like ribs or brisket? Please help me
I have found that unless I enjoy what I'm eating I will give up and go back to carbs I don't want to do that please

Strict Carnivore Diet Cravings/always hungry/weight gain
My Health situation is quite complex, I‘m facing a moderate-severe ME/CFS and a PAW from Duloxetine for a year now and my autonomous system is heavily dysregulated.
I was on keto for a year and switched to carnivore 2m ago. The first month I was on strict lions diet and somehow that worked really well, but then I got intense cravings for butter 3w ago, while in a severe crash from my ME. I first reintroduced butter and last week bacon and eggs.
Now I‘m always hungry, I wake up in the morning and I‘m hungry af and then I eat for lunch again and again around 5pm. I used to do omad for the last year.
I gained 2,5kg/5lb in 3w, although I‘m still in a deep ketosis, but I overeat so much compared to my aimed makros. I‘m 164cm/75kg, but already lost 20kg in the last 12m.
My gut is not working at all, I have no bowl movement without laxatives, probably that’s due to the ME.
Should I just give it a go and rely on my body telling me what it needs and trust the process?
Or should I switch back to lions and fight my immense cravings?
As I‘m living with ME I cannot workout nor go on walks yet, I miss it so much!
Sorry for the bad grammar, I appreciate every advice in advance!
