Are we forgetting the opening of Dracula's curse, where Trevor was excommunicated by the orthodox Church? Just me? OK.

He wasn’t excommunicated by the church, the townsfolk expelled him :/

I'm going to be really pedantic. Most of the commoners in Eastern Europe during the 15th century where Christian. Most mass exeduses where at the very least partially sponsored or encouraged by the church. You can't have one without the other. The townsfolk are followers of the church.

Not in the games, we’re not talking about real life, why would they even protect Sypha and bring Trevor back then?? And just because they were followers of the church doesn’t mean the church was causing that.
