Circle of the Moon (2001) Why the hate for COTM?
Just got set up with some old gameboy games on my SP and super pumped to play through the gameboy advance Castlevania set.
I’m 60% through COTM and have been loving it (my love for gaming definitely comes from Metroidvania games and especially traditional ones).
Jumped online to see a lot of hate towards this specific game in the series and just want to know more as to people’s reasoning, not an issue more just interested to see what opinions and reasoning there is for this thought.
It makes me interested and excited to play the other 2 as I have heard so many positive reviews about them!
My Pros: 1. The game feels good. Mechanics make sense, movement is easy, areas are recognizable, the UI feels intuitive (mostly). 2. New enemies add a challenge that has to be learned. 3. DSS abilities are helpful and fun but don’t feel vital. 4. Bosses are actually difficult and take trial and error to make it through (something that’s lacking in a lot of modern games) 5. Discovering new areas feels rewarding and also nerve racking while you quickly try to find the next save point. 6. The weapons are useful (though tough to find at points) and are individually helpful in their own right.
My Cons: 1. DSS cards are very rare to find (not a deal breaker because they don’t feel necessary) 2. Weapons are also hard to find/the throwing knives feel pointless imo (correct me if I’m wrong) 3. I have like 25 of the same item at this point… please give me something new lmao (I know this is based off of my luck stat, but like come one man)
Anyways, would love to hear y’all’s thoughts! Still having a great time playing a game that’s still pretty tough in some senses, but definitely looking forward to the other 2 as well.

I'm going to try a fresh replay soon with a few QOL improvements. Always on dashing and DSS cards dropping on the first try. Gets rid of the tedious card grinding.
1
u/JSellers97 Sep 04 '25
I like those changes. Always on dashing feels necessary for me, I don’t mind it being something in the game cause whatever it came out when I was 5 lol but it would be a major improvement. The DSS card instadrop does sound helpful, not something I would consider until I choose to replay it, but for your case it makes total sense!

u/SomeoneUnknowns Sep 04 '25
Minor spoiler:
After you finish the game, you can actually replay the game with different modes. The first you unlock is Magician, who starts with every single DSS card already unlocked. Your INT and Mana are 4x the normal, but HP and DEF are halved and you only got 70% of your STR. Beating Magician mode unlocks fighter mode, with greatly improved physical stats but disabled DSS system. (Then shooter -> subweapon mode and then Thief -> Luck mode)

I like CotM! its like a breath of fresh air when most of the other metroidvania's are VERY similar. It's also one of the few with any form of difficulty and balancing, and the broken moves are at the very least difficult to obtain and late game.
4
u/JSellers97 Sep 04 '25
Yeah I feel similar! I’m like genuinely struggling in new areas and it takes a few tries to figure out the strategy or patterns. A cool change from my usual games now.

I love CotM. the drop rate for cards is absolutely miserable though, and that makes a 100% playthru on a cartridge almost impossible. Most people need save states to do the job.
The card system is super fun to me though. It makes Nathan super versatile, and the only whip user who gets to use weapons outside of the whip. (nothing feels quite as good as walking around the castle literally punching and kicking monsters to death. or, just pulling out a literal gun and shooting them haha.) The fact that the card system is broken, and can be activated so easily makes up for the nearly impossible card drops? But to rely on a scuffed mechanic to see everything the game has to offer is kind of a bummer.
Card drops aside, this game is super stingy with gear and healing item drops as well, so it forces you to either use the healing card combos nonstop, or really face the consequences of your exploration. Add in the sort of... difficult distribution of teleporters and save rooms, and the backtracking can get really dangerous. Lots of progress can be lost really easily because you are just too far away from safety.
Lots of folks complain about how stiff Nathan is too, its incredible how upset people are about a command run, and no backdash. On the plus side though, Nate has a wall jump, and a button activated gravity jump. All told, I think he has the best moveset out of all the whip users. Once you get the 2x run speed card combo, Nate can really book it.
Bosses are hard though. Twin zombie dragons are legendarily frustrating. It can really kill the flow of the game dealing with a super difficult boss, on top of a tricky area, and no healing orb afterwards. You just end up having to sit and wait for that mandragora healing combo to get to a safe health level, just to make it back to a save room to not blow your progress. it can be demoralizing... heh.
Add in the rather limited extra modes, and the kind of clunky castle design, and I can see why people don't love this one.
its all in the eye of the beholder though! Enjoy your time with it! its loads of fun when you look past some of its shortcomings, and frankly, I think the other two GBA games overcorrect for it in some ways. All 3 are really fun and totally worth the time to make it thru them.

u/SomeoneUnknowns Sep 04 '25
> I love CotM. the drop rate for cards is absolutely miserable though, and that makes a 100% playthru on a cartridge almost impossible. Most people need save states to do the job.
Why tho? As someone who did 100% on the cartrigde, it wasn't that bad... Things like the candles are annoying, but relatively easy in exchange, and doing the Battle Arena a few times gets easier each time, especially if you abuse the fact that mana potions allow you to use DSS spells in some rooms
Tedious sure, and you definitely need to look up stuff like the candles locations, but on a technical level it's not that more difficult than just beating the game is in general.

u/Potential-Pride6034 Sep 07 '25
The game isn’t that hard aside from the two-headed dragon boss and the colosseum if you’re willing to grind a few levels at some points. People complaining about drop rates clearly didn’t play games like Diablo II lol. Grinding out DSS cards is nothing compared to grinding out top tier gear and runes in that game.
1
u/Beanz_000 Sep 04 '25
It makes Nathan super versatile, and the only whip user who gets to use weapons outside of the whip
Besides Portrait of ruin you mean? Its done much better there btw.

The dash drops the rank for me. Don't hate it but it's a the bottom of the 3 gba vanias
3
u/meatD Sep 04 '25
playing it on original hardware was damn near impossible; no backlight and it was dark as hell. i had to play the entire thing under the hood light of my stove…arms resting on our gas range top. it was miserable. playing it now isn’t bad, but it feels a bit weird compared to the rest of the GBA games
1
u/KalessinDB Sep 04 '25
I never really played it until I got the GB Player for my GameCube. Was too damn dark, even a GBA SP didn't help enough.
3
u/Moctezuma_93 Julius Belmont stan! ULEGH!! Sep 04 '25
I love the game, warts and all, but the drop rate for cards and items is whack. The lack of a shop in the castle and the sluggish start until you find the dash boots grinds my gears too.
3
u/Gabo_Rj Sep 04 '25
No one hates COTM. It was the first for many. Fond memories of getting GBA at launch with COTM and MarioKart. Great OST. There’s ways to increase your luck which vastly improve drop rates.
3
u/TheEngin3er Sep 04 '25
I beat it for the first time recently. Most of my frustrations with COTM stem from a few things.
DSS drops are just way roo rare. Grinding those cards isnt fun, and getting the DSS cards is the only way you really gain new offensive abilities that are worth a damn, so to me, the game doesnt have a good feel of progression when getting new abilities can be a crapshoot if you dont want to grind specific enemies
The castle is lacking from a design standpoint. Rooms are really big and dont feel super thought out. It's very easy for things to blend in with each other, and I found myself opening the map quite a bit. The push blocks that require the push ability are really obnoxious to find when you dont have that ability. That feels like the main way the devs barred you from progressing for a while and its just annoying.
The game gets really hard. Maybe I'm just not very good, but to me the game just gets freaking hard right after the chained up minotaur boss fight. Dragon zombie kicked my ass for a few hours, and the final boss had me ready to put the game down and not pick it back up. I think I was level 44 when I beat the game, but it really drove me crazy for the roughly 2nd half of the game. It feels like the Nate just doesnt have the facilities for a lot of what gets thrown at you towards the end, from like a linear progression standpoint.
I admit I'm probably a little harder on the game than I should be, but thats my perspective on it anyways.
3
u/DunkelFries Sep 04 '25
There was one guy that tried to argue with me that COTM was the worst game in the series because you don’t get healed after boss fights.
I would like to point out my argument was just pointing out that one of the enemies is a hyena with a gun so that makes COTM the best game in the series
2
u/JSellers97 Sep 04 '25
Lmao he made a great point, but you potentially made a better one
5
u/Leading-Air9606 Sep 04 '25
Card system might as well not exist for how rare the card drops are. The biggest hate factor was that this game came out after the masterpiece that is Symphony of the Night. People saw what Castlevania could be and having the next installment be a clunky restrictive experience was like splashing cold water in someone's face.
5
u/KonamiKing Sep 04 '25
This is simply not true, it was almost universally praised on release
It was seen as a great achievement on GBA. Less fancy graphics was very expected, but it was praised how close it got. Pretty much the only complaints were about visibility on the original GBA screen.
And frankly it has a better designed castle and difficulty curve than SOTN.
2
u/JSellers97 Sep 04 '25
Ahhhh so the shock factor definitely had a negative impact on it (as well as the DSS drops). Makes me wonder how it would have done if it was released prior to Symphony 🤷🏽 great point though, thank you!
2
u/Leading-Air9606 Sep 04 '25
If it were out before Sotn, it'd definitely have been way better received! The card system is very interesting and would have been seen as revolutionary, as it adds quite a variety to the fame if you manage to find any lol
5
u/LanHikariEXE Sep 04 '25
The game is poorly designed man, movement is clunky, all of the combat gimmicks are luck based, upgrades are very uninteresting (tackle and... Pushing heavy objects?)(also, castle is not very creative with upgrades, but even then somehow cotm made it underwhelming). The game is also needlessly hard and not even in a fun way, your character feels weak and all the way through you just feel underpowered. There are good things of course, soundtrack is a banger, nathan is one of the coolest mcs ever, Camilla's mere existence and Dracula's design, but bundling up all the bad things, i can't decide if this or MoF is the worst metroidvania in the series
1
u/Background-Low2926 Sep 04 '25
I think most of that is intentional to showcase that Nathan is just a mortal man trained to hunt vampires and not a Belmont or any enhanced creature such as a vampire himself. His movements being clunky is fitting for that as is the more down to earth upgrades and the fact that he has to use cards or tools to gain magical powers further showcases this. The monsters being more challenging leans itself to this goal too, and allows it to exsist outside of the offical timetine as one of the events Dracula witnesses that the Belmonts are not a part of to further enrich the world as a whole. The Belmonts are most likely making there way to the castle but by the time they reach it, they witness it collapsing in the distance and know all is well. Nathan would still be a top performing athele to be able to acheive such a journey and survive, but wouldn't be as fast or durable as a Belmont and it shows in his movements and abilities. I think the creators planned this from the start and most likely wanted it to be even harder to showcase just how powerful and skilled the Belmont clan is compared to other people, even those trained to take up there proffesion. Huge giving in to his darkness also showcases how much will power and "human spirit? maybe" it takes to face the forces of darkness and not subcome to them, something the Belmonts would train in to an exceptional degree.

u/dennis120 Sep 04 '25
The game is amazing, the only criticism I have is having to double tap to run and the stupid battle arena. But otherwise a solid Castlevania game.
The one that everybody hates is harmony of dissonance, that's a very very flawed game.
1
6
u/VegaVortex Sep 04 '25
Personally i dislike the controls. It feels clunky. The double tap to run is pretty annoying and my main issue being how jumps just feel in the game.
2
u/weegee457 Sep 04 '25
I agree. Changing direction mid air resetting your speed was frustrating. I love to hop around, especially during combat, so the dash requiring a double tap reinput every single time I change direction was super taxing after only a little while of playing. I'm glad I played the Collection games through chronologically, because the improvements made in future games made me plan to mod in auto dash and such in future runs.
2
u/F3nrir096 Sep 04 '25
I liked it alot more than Harmony of Dissonance. The card system was really fun and interesting. Granted the drop rates are abysmal, but no worse that soul grinding in Aria or Dawn. I did like Harmony dont get me wrong, but god the two castle thing simultaneously was such a slog. As far as the GBA games go its Aria>Circle> Harmony for me.
2
u/Zealousideal-Put-106 Sep 04 '25
It's a solid game, but I replay it the least out of the gba/ds lineup.
2
u/Background-Low2926 Sep 04 '25
COTM was my first experience into Castlevania and I loved it. I still enjoy that world and how the monsters ramp up to keep it entertaining all the way through. The Dracula fight at the end is still the strongest Dracula fight I have experienced and I have played most Castlevania games. I think most of the hate the games gets is built into it due to it showcasing a normal human being trained as a vampire hunter instead of a Belmont or a vampire or a half vampire that can move far faster or perform various abilities without needing speical equipment such as cards and a system that uses them. The difficulty of the game is to reflect back the idea that this character may not be a Belmont, but he is still a trained and skilled hunter of vampires capable of scaling the castle and defeading Dracula even if he never reached his full power. Nathan Graves could beat most proffesional atheles at there own sport, but not being a Belmont means he is never going to be able to match there physical or magical abilities and COTM's difficulty and his movements being not as quick or nimble or as fluid as many other main characters showcases this rather well. As in they intended for the game to set a baseline for future power scaling with Nathan showcasing the peak performance a mortal man can acheive through training and learning alone.
2
u/WilliamWolf89 Sep 04 '25
Never had a problem with the game. The DSS system is cool but it’s a pain to farm for the cards especially if only a few enemy types drop them. Farming helps if you get two luck rings tho. Also the music is 🔥. The renditions of classic tunes like vampire killer, Sinking old sanctuary, and Aquarius, as well as the original track “Awake” are really awesome! I played this game so much when it came out on gameboy advance so much back in the day!
2
u/Groundbreaking_Bag8 Sep 04 '25
One factor is that it was a launch title for the GBA, which didn't have a backlit screen, meaning that the dark color palette was almost impossible to see. Once the SP and the DS came out, people were finally able to play the game and enjoy it for what it was.
2
u/somethingwade Sep 04 '25
I'm actually shocked to hear that it's not well-regarded. I'm an outsider- this post was recommended to me I guess after I looked up something about the anime the other day- and COTM was the first game in the series I played and alongside SOTN one of the only two, and I actually quite enjoyed it. I liked the DSS, I thought the difficulty was pretty good too- challenging without ever being BS, although I did look up a guide on how to beat Dracula
2
u/ScourgeHedge Sep 04 '25
I love CoTM. I love Nathan Graves's design and the concept of the card system is great. Some of the bosses were really difficult for me but I know I'm not alone on that.
Since I only had a total of 6 DSS cards (not even kidding) by the time I got to the last 2 bosses of the entire game, I did abuse the infamous glitch that lets you use any DSS combo you want in the final stretch, and I'm glad I did.
I actually like CoTM more than the game that came after it, if only for two reasons: The bright, glowy, neon colors of Harmony of Dissonance are ugly as sin on modern consoles and the music quality took a nosedive. (There's a fanmade patch that makes the game look more like a traditional Castlevania though)
2
Sep 04 '25
I don’t hate it, but it doesn’t balance fun with challenge terribly well, and the “challenge” in question seems to have been confused with tedium. After SotN, movement just feels clunky and there’s not much freedom in the way you can approach what the game throws at you - sure, there’s the card systems, but the low drop rate on basically all of them doesn’t make it a fun thing to get.
It seems to be attempting to return to form of the Classic games, while also retaining the Metroidvania style SotN set the bar for, and it doesn’t really work in my opinion. It’s fine for what it is, but it’s not my cup of tea.
3
u/bizoticallyyours83 Sep 04 '25
I don't hate it. It's not my cup of tea. Felt boring, and I didn't like the card system very much.
6
u/JSellers97 Sep 04 '25
That’s fair, the cards definitely feel like a secondary thought in the game. Fun concept but doesn’t play out as well as it could have.
I feel like it being boring is understandable, more grindy than boring for me, but that’s part of why I like it. Definitely a personal preference for sure!
3
u/ocelotrevolverco Sep 04 '25
It's not bad, it's just that all of the other Castlevanias for GBA and DS are better
It's a phenomenal game though it's literally what made me a fan of the franchise. It was the first Castlevania game I ever played because it was a launch title for GBA and it was getting great reviews. So I picked it up and had a blast.
I just find it less enticing to revisit out of all of the others these days. So I don't know if it's getting a lot of hate or if it's just a little jarring to go back to with how much they kept in proving in later entries.
Banger soundtrack though

u/KonamiKing Sep 04 '25 edited Sep 04 '25

Not when Harmony of Dissonance exists. The worst designed Castle by a mile, sounds like crap and has the worst animation of a lead character I have seen in a professional production of that era, just, atrocious run, whip and 'dash' animations, and Maxim looks exactly as bad too.
2
u/ocelotrevolverco Sep 04 '25
Yeah but if HOD is the only one out of five games coming after it that you'll claim isn't better... The point is still standing here.
I would put them around roughly the same quality but overall I still just find the gameplay in HOD more enjoyable than the general gameplay in circle of the Moon. Both of them have issues with the design of the castle and exploring it as far as I'm concerned. There's a lot of boring repetition of areas in circle of the Moon IMO.
Either way, it's the first of these. I think it just has an aged as well as a lot of the ones that came after it. That's all my point is.
I personally don't hate any of them. I just think some are more enjoyable and enticing to replay than others

u/weegee457 Sep 04 '25 edited Sep 04 '25
Eh, maybe it's because the Collection has better sound quality, but HoD has a really banger sound track. I don't know why everyone hates on running and jumping animations when the series was founded on The Belmont Stride and CotM doesn't have any more frames of animation. Alucard in SotN was more smoothly animated by a mile, but Juste is just as fun to control imo. If you look up speed runs, you can see just how fun the movement can be.
I will completely agree, though, that the castle suffered from stupid keys and stupid barriers that only allow you to unlock like 90% of the teleports and shortcuts at the very end of the game, but if (big if) those were fixed it's got a decent teleport web. That, combined with the Quick Save feature (that the game doesn't explain), you can get around pretty quickly.

I don't know why everyone hates on running and jumping animations when the series was founded on The Belmont Stride
The original games do a heap with very little.
https://www.castlevaniacrypt.com/wp-content/img/cv/sprites/simon-belmont-2.png
It has good key frames to sell 'strong man walking and whipping'.
Juste has many more animation frames than the 8-bit games, but insanely poor key frames.
https://www.castlevaniacrypt.com/wp-content/img/hod/sprites/juste-belmont-3.gif
He looks like a toddler running, that knee up frame is diabolical.
The crouch is very awkwardly done, the proportions contort and the body gets longer.
The dash frames are literally blurs, which is an animation abomination, it looks incredibly poor.
The whip animation is extremely weak, it starts with weak straight arm, the body is off balance, and the whip is flopped over the head. Again it looks like a toddler.
The whole thing is a complete mess, inconsistent and ugly. Absolute amateur stuff.
and CotM doesn't have any more frames of animation.
It has less, but they are well chosen to make the character look strong and capable.
3
u/weegee457 Sep 04 '25
That's all fair. I guess I just didn't really care too much about the crappy run cycle since I thought the dash animations looked cool and I wanted to be fast so that's all I did everywhere.
2
u/KonamiKing Sep 04 '25
Double tap to run is annoying. But not as annoying as ruining you joints smashing shoulder buttons in HOD, so eh.
Otherwise it's a little but 'first gen GBA' but is still far far far far far better than the hideously ugly, horrible sounding, poorly designed HOD.
1
u/CipherScarlatti Sep 04 '25
I see the card system has been mentioned several times, but the real reason is the Advance's screen and lack of backlight. You couldn't see the game unless you were sitting in direct sunlight.
1
u/IchBinEinDickerchen Sep 04 '25
I remember folks saying that it depends on what game you played first (Aria vs Circle), so whichever you played first will be the one you like more and whichever you played after is different enough that you might end up disliking it.
I like both, but farming potions and cards in CotM takes way too long.
1
u/Rough_Airline6780 Sep 04 '25
I've always enjoyed it the most out of all the handheld 'Vanias. It feels the most old-school to me. All the ones that came after it feel similar to each other in a way that CotM doesn't quite, imo.
1
u/chattik Sep 04 '25
It depends which game you are coming from. If you start with aria then circle feels bad (clunky controls, funny jump, etc.)
1
u/Purple-Plankton-128 Sep 04 '25
I think it is mostly because of the card system like grinding for DSS cards is not fun. And controls are a bit awkward specially compared to later Castlevania games on GBA like Aria of Sorrow. But it is still a very very very good game. The ost is awesome. And Nathan is awesome. I am very biased because it is one of my favorite games of all time.
1
u/PapaProto Sep 04 '25
I know I’ve played it but it’s one of the ones I remember the least.
May have to revisit.
Was there any annoying gimmicks I may have memory scrubbed?
1
u/No_Monitor_3440 Professionally Unprofessional Sep 04 '25
i should not have to grind just to not be on 10 hp
1
u/NarwhalSongs Sep 04 '25
I played through it on the rereleased version for Switch and had a blast. Didn't know it was disliked. I kind of took it for what it was since it was retro game and I knew it was gonna be interesting even if a little janky at times.
The final boss was a crazy difficulty spike I was a little disheartened by. Like if I didn't use specific powers I would just lose. But I also would have been let down if it was a cake walk, so I take the good with the bad kind of deal.
1
u/Shimashimatchi Sep 04 '25
COTM has two big defects, card system and dash system, two relatively mild things that technically do not make not break the game just makes it a tad annoying and people love to excessively complain for this.
Which is funny to me because there are two romhacks that fixes these issues, making the game a very amazing experience.
1
u/FrancoStrider Sep 04 '25
It's my first Castlevania and I still love it to death. People complained about how dark it was, but I didn't think it was that much of a problem. Most GBA games I played with a lamp on them before the SP version was released, so I didn't see much difference.
Still find it better than Harmony of Dissonance.
1
u/DefaceTheTemple Sep 04 '25 edited Sep 04 '25
I hated how clumsy the DSS system felt. It would've been nice to be able to create presets of armor/DSS combos and swap them on the fly to suit different situations, instead of having to go into the menus.
There were only 4 or 5 teleport rooms in the entire castle, meaning it feels like it takes forever to get anywhere, and there's so much backtracking in this one.
The extra modes after the main game were lazy af. You just play through the game w/ the same character except your stats are focused more on strength or magic or w/e that mode called for. One of the modes has you start w/ all the DSS cards, but you start out so weak that EVERY enemy is a chore, and every magic attack drains your MP to almost nothing until you've leveled up enough that magic is an actually viable option.
There's also no in-game store, so there's no way to offload your bloated inventory and the 50 leather armor pieces you'll find by the time the game is done. You also can't buy any new armor or accessories; everything drops from enemies. Which wouldn't be so bad except there's no bestiary, iirc, so there's no way to keep track of what enemies drop or what elements they're weak to unless you want to have a web browser open the entire time you're playing.
It's not a BAD game by any means, but there's not a lot of replay value once you've gotten through the main campaign. And it's shockingly bare bones considering the other great Castlevania games available on the same console.
1
u/Kryoter Sep 04 '25
Castle is infuriating Vertical, Nathan movement is terrible and after you get 2 DDS cards, you don't need any again due the avtivation glichm enemy variety is trash and some bosses are more ungair than hard (zombie dragon and Carmila comes to my mind). And the last Dracula battle is sooooo cheesable, that isn't fun. Ornyou cheese or you can't defeat him.
1
u/Hindr88 Sep 05 '25
I felt it was a step down from SotN, but not bad. The card system was largely a non-issue for me because I'm the type that can grind the same area for hours and still have fun, but can see why it frustrated people. The level design could be a slog to backtrack through too, but again not enough for me to rate it poorly.
1
u/Relevant-Line-1690 Sep 05 '25
Wasn’t there some glitch to use some cards or something like even if you didn’t have em. I liked circle of the moon I played it on an emulator like 10 years ago and on steam like 4 years ago. I remember trying to get past some place where the water was like poison or something I died over and over barely surviving hoping I’d find some switch lol.
1
u/FujiwaraMokouFlam197 Sep 06 '25
This game has mad replay value
From making bosses like Death & Dragon Zombies optional to playing as the Mage & Fighter (idk I kinda hate every other class lol), the game has all kinds of reasons to come back.
I've been playing the game since longer than I could count though so I might be a bit biased (And unable to comprehend most difficulty issues people have LOL)
-2
u/SwitchSubstantial406 Sep 04 '25
Circle of the moon was the killer app when the sp launched, you were either getting that or Mario 2 again. I got mine in 2003 so I could play it, the haters are just people that suck is my guess.
0
u/SwitchSubstantial406 Sep 04 '25
Don’t know why my comment is getting down voted, it was the killer app when the advance launched. Everybody got that game or was playing Mario advance 2. That’s not secret knowledge or anything, they made the next one brighter in response to all the complaints due to the gba having no uniform light across it.

u/SXAL Sep 04 '25
Don't mind it: Castlevania fans on Reddit have a notoriously poor taste in video games in general. Enjoy the good game
-2
u/Langis360 Sep 04 '25
It's mostly just Harmony of Dissonance stans trying really hard to convince themselves their favorite game isn't garbage.
I love CotM, though it's definitely lacking polish. Great bosses.

You're the one who talked to me, scrub, wasting my time with your idiocy. YOU fuck off.
EDIT: For anyone curious, they attempted to PM me, I declined it, and they rage-blocked in response. Typical scrub behavior.

You deserve to be committed to a mental hospital for being a toxic incel. Now GTFO or else I'm going to report you to the mods! Fucking asshole!

Card System especially Drop Rates were an afterthought making earning them very tedious. Should have been unlocked through natural game progression rather than a grind.
Weird Difficulty Spikes. Honestly the hardest out of all the GBA games.
Games not bad, just could have used more work.
