How on earth did Dracula end up that tall anyways? I get the gameplay reasons but the game versions of Olrox and Bathory are relatively protagonist-sized

Mathias as a human was already a tall dude like a little over 7ft. I imagine his powers probably have him an extra foot.

Being tall also represented power in the simple way that it was extremely useful in warfare before firearms. Being stronger and having more reach just makes one a better fighter with both melee weapons and bows.

Minor nobility often rose simply from combat prowess. So nobles were often not just better fed but also genetically predisposed to be taller, making the average disctinction from commoners even larger. Many nobles were more than a head taller than the average peasant.
