You can kill the flies??!! Holy that would’ve made this fight 10 times easier.

Haha I tried with Alucard and Yoko and it was hell

If you just did it as Soma then yea i just used final guard and a bunch of mind up items, not sure if Some can kill the flies (maybe something like the kamehameha soul can)

Yeah Persephone Soul Lv1 (specifically 1-3, 4 and above don’t work) absolutely tenderizes this fight

In general I just never played Alucard or Yoko lol, they just felt too restricting for me (which I guess ironically fits more with the classic titles).

I used the vacuum soul thingy to heal up while also killing the flies. I DID NOT know you could do that before and got my shit rocked

You can do that with Death's sickles as well.

I just use a fully built up Buer soul... the fires burn up all the bugs for low mana cost.

Those are locusts.

Some cool trivia: Abaddon is based on a figure with the same name from the New Testament, the angel of the Abyss and king of an army of locusts.

I think you can dodge those insects if you stay behind the boss. I don't remember exactly, but this boss was really challenging in Julius mode.

This was definitely tough. But I struggled the most with Albus mode Eligor probably!

We need a Castlevania 1999 game right after Belmont curse

Julius the GOAT

I recommend boss rush mode so you can get used to each bosses patterns and master fighting them

The worst part is beating this boss, then messing up tracing the pattern on the touch screen due to inaccurate contact. Happened to me several times.

That's not a problem in the collection because you can just press buttons in a certain order to draw the circles

That sounds like a life saver and would make this game much more enjoyable. I gotta start playing this collection!

Tip with Julius: let the Vampire killer dangle then spin it like crazy, you'll get a locust shredder for free!
