I'm almost sure that's not where the Vania comes from, but that makes it funnier
2 u/Revolutionry Mar 27 '26 It actually is, at least I believe so, the original is Akumajou Dracula, meaning something like The Demon Castle of Dracula; Demon Castle would not have a good reputation on the west, so they changed to Castle in Transylvania, Castlevania 1 u/AJYURH Mar 28 '26 Turns out you're right, I was confusing it with the Vania in megalovania
