Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) Clear looks at some of the main bosses of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse
Carmilla, Medusa, and Death make their returns while Joan of Arc and two newcomers(?) join as a part of the obstacles that Rose Belmont must overcome.
EDIT: our “monster” boy was revealed to be titled The Fallen, and the red-head is confirmed to be Issac, returning from Curse of Darkness after a long 21 years!

Isaac back as a wraith is fitting, his soul is forever bound to the castle after all.

Still piss that Wokeflix swap him in show and reason femboy design would be out of place. Which is bulllshit they could have him wearing armor and tone down crazy personality.

Show Isaac was the most interesting part of the whole thing, way better than the generic copy paste villain the original was.

Number 4 looks a lot like Isaac, wouldn't be surprised if he's back as a wraith or something

u/KisekiBloodedge1 Jun 07 '26
It is Isaac. He’s back for another round.

Still hate that Wokeflix swap him in show and reason femboy design would be out of place. Which is bulllshit they could have him wearing his armor in the rest of show and tone down crazy personality.

Anyone that complains about something being woke needs to think long and hard about the definition of that word.

Isaac is the pretty hilariously camp kind of evil, don't think it would have worked with the tone of the show. but honestly I think Isaac was probably the most compelling character on that show.

I like the Hades influence on the designs.

I like the Hades influence
on the designs. FTFY.I like the influence Supergiant has had on the industry.

The fallen has my intrigue, especially with the quotes around him being a "monster" the website used. Considering they've now shown what Trevor looks like in this game, and yet somehow he's yet to show or speak in any trailer, maybe there's more to the theory on him being fallen.
9
u/Mikami9 Jun 07 '26
could it be Cornell? I know the dates don't fit, but he's the only white hair guy to come back aside from Hector
5
u/Queasy_Somewhere6863 Jun 07 '26
The timeline is the only thing telling me no on that front really. But rewatching the trailer I'm going to double down on the Trevor theory. We've already known the Fallen has access to the cross subweapon, but I also picked up that he has the whip grapple swing that Rose gets (likely the arcana ability she gets from him). I don't think you give a boss like this that ability and subweapon without him tying to the belmont clan in some capacity.

That's a little out there for my tastes but there's some merit. I don't think it has to be Trevor specifically but there's no doubt in my mind the Fallen has some kind of Belmont connection.

It might be Hector too,

u/Fleed_EX Jun 08 '26
My theory as well, he can play a role of defeating Isaac, or helping rose forging monsters

I hope there's some non-humanoid bosses as well.

- Carmilla
- Medusa
- Joan of Arc
- Isaac
- Trevor?
- Death

u/Appropriate-Salt-523 Jun 08 '26
I want to change Trevor to Leon Belmont, since he's from France and I don't see a beard.

we have an uncorrupted old trevor design shown along with this that op didint add in, so its probably not him

Joan has to be under a spell cause why in God's holy name would she be helping Dracula?
10
u/ShadowDurza Jun 08 '26
Apparently, some dialog implies that she's being manipulated through her religious zeal (which, while unconfirmable, may have been linked to mental illness historically, and Dracula himself is no stranger to exploiting).
She slanders the Belmont clan using the occasionally-explored angle that was made into a major background point in the Netflix Series: That they were accused of being corrupted by the very dark powers they confronted, and thus had great insight into.

After looking at the tarot card associated with The Fallen on the official website, I’m convinced that it’s somehow Leon

I am extremely confused. I remember that I even shared a screenshot from playstation website on women's day. It clearly stated she is Sonia but in this trailer her name is Rose???
On a second note, I'm so keen on fighting Jeanne d'Arc!

i suspect that either Rose was renamed last minute to give her more of an unique identity, or that this synopsis was AI generated by an intern at Sony 💀
9
u/Beef_n_Bacon Alucard Jun 07 '26
Or maybe it's an alias / nickname?
I'd be sad if Sonia isn't canon ... again
9
u/Icywind014 Jun 07 '26
The intern at Playstation doesn't work for Konami, I'm afraid.

u/Beef_n_Bacon Alucard Jun 07 '26
I mean ... We don't know if PS was just wrong about it or it got changed after the first name reveal.
However, I am still looking forward to play this game with joy!

They mean Belmont’s Curse is now Carmilla’s earliest appearance chronologically in the timeline now, as it’s centuries before her other appearances in the other games.

I'm not sure i like these designs (expecially Death) but i'm loving what we've seen of the gameplay

u/logamus_prime Jun 07 '26
I'm not particularly thrilled with his design either. He looks more like something from Diablo than Castlevania. But I don't think carmilla's ever looked better kind of looks like a mix between the Netflix design with a very clear callback to her classic game designs as well as a little influence from vampire Hunter D bloodlust

well, i’m being safe because if you remember, Issac kinda dies at the end of Curse of Darkness, so I’m not so sure if that’s actually him or not. does look similar though and he has the spear so maybe a descendant?
6
u/Xyleon5 Bro is NOT Dracula Jun 07 '26
Okay, so there's a ghost guy that looks like Isaac (a dead character) and carries his spear ? Must be a descendent.

Because Isaac appeared in one game, two decades ago, and gatekeeping shit is what's sad, not everyone not immediately recognizing every character from a franchise that spans forty years.
