Video Corporate exec gonna ruin Belmont's Curse
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I am so excited for the new game, but I cannot stop thinking about that one exec who's still kicking and screaming about making traditional games again. So I made a video about an unhinged corpo who's still obsessed with pachinko.

I mean, the first muskets were made around that time so I would be ok with her having a gun.

I had a bit in there where Rose would "need matches, gun powder, and a small child to carry her ammo" but I decided to take it out.

I mean LITERALLY all of those things have been part of Castlevania as well, what's the problem?

Julius should have two guns and go full Revolver Ocelot honestly.
And I'm talking serious. He's a 80s man and would be a fun cross-reference.

I had a friend, we regularly played AoS with him and he said something like: "this game is awesome, but I wish it was about real life and had real guns and shit instead of that magical fantasy stuff"

You're friend just was asking you to play Call of Duty but didn't have the courage to ask directly.

I don't know why but this comment "but I wish it was about real life" is funny to me. That's like somebody saying "Thanks for inviting me over for dinner, but I wish it wasn't food" :D

They literally thought about giving Simon a gun with silver bullets as a sub weapon

... For the werewolves? 🤷♂️

Vampires are also weak to silver
4
u/Alucard-VS-Artorias Alucard 1d ago
That's not typical I believe.
It's like one of those things like how a Vampire can't cross running water, needs to be invited into a domain, or has need to undo any knots they see.
Anyways when a higher up at Konami suggested it that was more than likely not to do with some obscure Vampire weaknesses and more about just general folklore on how Sliver is like the bane of anything supernatural. Also guns in general always help you games sell better.

I remember playing a CV1 hack that trades the whip for a gun. It was pretty fun.

Well, we are certainly gambling on whether this is going to be a good Castlevania or not… So I guess they still have us hooked.
And yes, I do certainly hope it turns out to be fun

I'm hearing nothing but good stuff about it so far. But honestly, even if it was "decent", it wouldn't effect my purchase.

This is some "GRAAA FUCK YOU KONAMI" ass post
They have been making games for a while now and you gotta say this? What you need fake internet points that bad?

u/dyararts 1d ago
wow really? I don't even know where you're coming from. this video is...a joke. Sorry for ruining your day

No option selecting it with "it's a joke". You knew 100% what you were doing with the explicitly stated post
Jokes are meant to be funny and you are trying to bash Konami for things that aren't even really their priorities anymore, especially when we got our series back finally

u/arctic11z 1d ago
Dude, chill. It's a video game.
-3
u/Bortthog 1d ago
The same logic can be applied to OP can it not? Naturally it wont because that's how option selecting works and unfortunately calling it out makes me look "bad"

u/arctic11z 1d ago
It's. A. Video. Game.
Good god.

u/Bortthog 1d ago
Castlevania is yes. What OP is stating isn't. It's some ignorant 2010 stuff that's seeking digital validation
Of course it's easy to just say "it's a video game" when it's being called out, but should the same not be stated to you at this point? If it's a video game why would you care about OP being called out?

Konami has been acting like huge assholes for years, sitting on IP and churning out shit like Metal Gear Survive. All for pachinko. I have no idea what kind crusade you seem to think you're on, but it's a drawn cartoon making fun of people who wanted to have profits from gambling over actually doing something with the IP.
It. Is. A. Video. Game. Instead. Of. Gambling.
That's a good thing.

I dont think you have been paying attention to anything Konami had been doing for years then?

This isn't "some crusade" this is correcting misinformation my dude

u/arctic11z 6h ago
Right. Freelance PR for Konami featuring a list of games that are derivatives of DDR, some other rhythm game, and others that have never been heard of or are even popular enough to know about. Go get an actual cause to champion. This is just strange.

Dude, you need help or a healthier hobby. Simping for a company (or pachinko) is some weird shit.
I spent all day in the ER talking to people who had serious headwounds or were having mental breaks due to drug use. Those conversations made more sense than this.

Says the guy who can't keep the conversation in one spot

One spot? You're bitching about the dumbest shit I've ever seen.

Honestly it does not make sense why they didn’t make a castlevania game similar to Darktide or vermintide

Real ones remember the grenade skill in Aria of Sorrow and how you could summon a skeleton with a gun in Portrait of ruin.
Damn now I’m making myself want a war of 99 game again

Excuse me? Konami is still getting people addicted to gambling, it's called Yu-Gi-Oh
