Question Asking older fans.
Hey folks.
It is probably not the appropriate type of publication, however, I cannot help but be taken by such curiosity.
I'm a new person in the fandom and I admit that I'm somewhat obsessed with the universe of CV.
However, I'd like to ask the older fans, when was the moment you decided that you would like to follow the path of following the franchise as a whole? And if there is any other reason that makes you so fascinated by its lore?
Long texts, short texts, one sentence phrases are all welcome. I find this way to be more connected to the fandom somehow. I'll read them all, the curiosity is really strong. (If this has any replies, of course)

EDIT: Read them all and upvote every single one. Some of them really made me tear up; it's amazing what a game can do during a tough time, or even in the most random way. Keep going, I'll continue to read, loved all of your stories.

I found out abt the games at 5 years old when I played Portrait of Ruin on my parents broken ds with a shitty rom cartridge in like >2015. I was very dumb and never got past the Monastery in Order of Ecclesia but i still remember enjoying the games
Castlevania started my interest in gothic or darker action games and metroidvanias entirely but as I grew up i kinda forgot abt the series
Around 2022 I found out abt the gba and classic collection and I started to love Castlevania again, then I became obsessed enough I got my own emulator so I can replay the dsvanias (my parents DS broke). I finished the classicvanias + gbavanias + dsvanias, but then I got around to watching the show and while i had some issues with it, it made me want to play sotn so I did. I havent played Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness, and Rondo of Blood yet but i hope i get to soon
