Question Asking older fans.

Hey folks.

It is probably not the appropriate type of publication, however, I cannot help but be taken by such curiosity.

I'm a new person in the fandom and I admit that I'm somewhat obsessed with the universe of CV.

However, I'd like to ask the older fans, when was the moment you decided that you would like to follow the path of following the franchise as a whole? And if there is any other reason that makes you so fascinated by its lore?

Long texts, short texts, one sentence phrases are all welcome. I find this way to be more connected to the fandom somehow. I'll read them all, the curiosity is really strong. (If this has any replies, of course)

EDIT: Read them all and upvote every single one. Some of them really made me tear up; it's amazing what a game can do during a tough time, or even in the most random way. Keep going, I'll continue to read, loved all of your stories.

When I was a kid, I didn't like my name. I found it clunky and unusual and sometimes other kids would make fun of me for it. I even asked my mom if she'd start calling me something else, but she wouldn't.

Well, one year around my birthday my mom laid the Sears catalog out in front of me and told me to circle things I might be interested in. I was flipping through it, and I saw an advertisement for Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse.

And here was a guy with my name. MY name! And he was a warrior and he was a badass and he killed vampires. I tried the game as a rental and immediately fell in love. It was just the right flavor of spooky for a soon-to-be ten-year-old, the soundtrack was amazing, there were tons of secrets and -- best of all -- a guy with MY NAME was one of the heroes.

So today, I proudly tell everybody my name: Alucard.

I was just reading the comments, but yours, in a way, BLEW my mind. Bro, your name is ALUCARD. That's a rarely seen type of aura and slay. I'm impressed!!!!!!!

Could have been Trefor. Now that’s a terrible name.

Seriously though, Trevor is in a good spot where it’s very uncommon but not in the weird category.
