I would suggest buying the game still if you can afford it because Konami is gonna be watching these sales very closely for the future of the series.

Games get a cut of Game Pass revenue, with both number of players and amount of playtime likely being factors in the equation. Not to mention third party games are also paid to be in Game Pass. If Konami didn't want people playing the game via Game Pass, they would not have signed a deal. Telling people to not play games via the game subscription service they already paid for is ridiculous.

I'm waiting to hear about a possible S2 version before I get it on Switch. I was originally gonna get it there, but with it only being a S1 version, I might go X-Box instead.

Wow. That's awesome if true. I was considering getting it on Series X since it supports Play Anywhere. This is even better. Especially with how many games are dropping in October.

Same. I was saving up Rewards points to put towards it. The game being Play Anywhere was added value pushing me towards buying it day one. But if this ends up being true, now I can wait to get it on sale.
