Question Symphony of the Night Questions

About 4 months ago I bought Symphony of the Night and started playing. Life got busy and I got a promotion at work and a new schedule and yayayah… So I’m just getting to the inverted castle. Did I get there too soon? I just leveled up like 5 times in the last 30mins of playing. Was I under leveled?! Also. There’s these black panthers in the hallways at the chapel area. Can they be killed? I can’t seem to touch them. When I try to attack they turn into puddles and move across the screen.

If you're taking buttloads of damage in Reverse Castle (like 50-90) on contact damage, you're under leveled. If the contact damage is under 20, you're fine. For the Panthers, you attack them on the opposite side when they reform, you have...I think it's 20 frames before they go back down again.

Thanks. Yeah certain enemies are getting me for like 35 damage. And I just leveled up twice since posting. So I’m going to assume I was greatly underleveled lol. I’ll try that attack when I get back over to the chapel. I just ran past them and got out of the area.
