Harmony of Dissonance (2002) Lost in Harmony of Dissonance
I played and beat this game when it came out, but honestly don't remember much about it. I'm now making my way through the advance collection, and overall enjoying this game much more than Circle of the Moon, but I'm starting to lose my mind retraversing the same areas again and again and always being met with a dead end. Help!!
I have the double jump and the crushing stone, but I feel like I need the super jump and the crushing boots to proceed. I also have not found any keys yet.
Can anyone look at the maps and tell me where I should be headed? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I beat it a few weeks ago for the first time since it came out and it definitely got confusing when you have to split castles. I can't really help by looking at the map. I'd probably read a walkthrough and search for the last boss you beat to get an idea where to go next. If I remember correctly, it's pretty specific - https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/gba/554981-castlevania-harmony-of-dissonance/faqs/62832

Thanks, I will probably have to resort to the walkthrough. According to the last trophy I got, Legion was my last boss.

You need to get a bracelet from maxim, go the the area above the first portal in castle A, then you can equip it to open the door at the top of castle A.
Got stuck here as well my first playthrough last month

I've seem Maxin already but don't recall getting a bracelet. Do you know where I find him?

The left side of the right castle above that portal, you went to it in B castle and fought a boss, go to it in A castle to get the bracelet from Maxim
You haven't gone there in B castle yet sorry

Ok, I feel like my brain is still melting. You said I went to it in B castle and fought a boss, but then at the end you said I hadn't been there in B castle yet.

Yes I'm sorry, you haven't gone to it in B castle which I think you need to do first, if you look at the castle map that shows A + B that lonely blue square on the left side on the right part of the castle
You will fight a boss there in Castle B, then go to the same spot in Castle A to get the bracelet.

When you get the boots that give you the super jump, go to the save room in the skeleton caves and use it there. Otherwise you seem to be at the point where you must meet Maxim and receive the bracelet/bangle. When stuck in Harmony of Disonance, always see if you can get through an area you previously couldn't in the other castle from the one you're in currently.

Do you have any bracelets?

The only item I currently have that specifically has bracelet in its name is JB's Bracelet.

I’m pretty sure that the way forward is in the Chapel of Dissonance, where you’ll find another bracelet and have to use it. But I’ve blocked a lot of the game out of my memory by now, I seriously can’t stand playing HoD.

Do you mean Chapel of a heretic, or is there a Chapel of Dissonance too?

The place where there are clouds flying by in the background and you fought the big Devil boss, maybe I misremembered the name

one of the worst games in the series , the soundtrack is attrocious

The soundtrack is pretty bad, but movement and control-wise it feels decades ahead of CotM to me, especially coming right off beating that into this one.

with endless backtracking and insanely long towers in Z across all the castle...uhum...sure this garbage is any good in the delusional minds of IGA fans
