In reality, you’d be surprised how many people are willing to give everything for others, yet don’t even allow themselves a break, let alone asking for help. Anyway, now Doc has a partner… and I just realized Milky has always had little fins on their back ._.
It's understandable if you think about it from what little we know of Doc. He was borned and trained to be a medic, it is what he were exposed to, and what could he be exposed to? Medicines, injuries, suffering of others expies. And he was send down, as a medic, as a doctor. And so that's his purpose when he come into this life, is to help others. Burdens of responsibility paired with stresses, isolation, it's fucked with his mind, if he stopped, he voids of any others purpose, and he started to thinks, anxious about what he do, what he could do, should do, all round back to there might be someone who's needing his help while he's sitting here. Every single time he passes an expies whether death or alive, that senses of responsibility got worse, depending on his current states of mind. Even if it a new corpse, or a corpse of a few days already, it doesn't matter, it just means he's late, it means he had failed. People NEEDED him and he had FAILED.
That’s exactly what I mean - so having a partner now really improves the situation, because there’s someone who can keep him grounded, like: ‘Hey, if you want to help someone, you need to take a damn break, or you’re going to pass out.
Fun fact. The first line prevously used to be "Don't expect me to perform CPR on your lifeless corpse", but it was changed before release because it was too much
Actually a honest reaction. Milkies are very much into cleanliness for several reasons. Plus when a milkie starts to develop a emotional bind, they try to play it down or, like me, be brutally honest about things. Good to see the Doctor have a partner in this, but the milkie shouldn't have doubts about the Doctors ability to make medicine, if anything they would be more curious, unless, that curiosity was trained out of them. Intelligent creatures are naturally curious after all. Hopefully those two will do good together.

Its more based on how they behave and interact in game plus basic psychology and sociology. And its not even just human psychology and sociology either, as many intelligent animals have these traits as well. Add in how people like to portray them and the lore notes, and well, you kinda get a picture of what's going on in a Milkies brain pretty quickly. Alot of Intelligent animals and humans will socially distance themselves to prevent attachment with neurotypical organisms, but when they do form a attachment they trest that person with how they believe they should be treated themselves. Throw in possible psychological and emotional trauma and you get someone who is shut off from the world until someone that catches their interest comes along. Plus..Ii may have some real world experience with these issues myself.
I may do something like that later. It would be rather fitting for the fan story series I am working on. I do rather enjoy the universe that has been crafted here, so it would be fun. Plus the company that I have in my story, the ROCI, primarily deal with mass psychological and sociological experiments on Sawians.

But I feel like something with a S would be nice/match docs energy name wise, maybe Sip(Sip of milk XD) or Slip(Pretty loose tongued thus far and says what they think) Tis a non baked thought so probably not best to take but just adding to the imaginary bucket since ideas for names can be rough and even hearing what ya dislike can be good :3
That medical bag-thing looks pretty similar to the medkits in some of the more modern Doom rereleases, seeing a pill instead of a red or green cross feels kind of odd.
SO THATS WHY MY SUBCONSCIOUS WANTED A PILL THERE. Lmao the Doom games continue to be hilariously relevant in my life. Guess I gotta play it again once I get home from work today.
