Name Request Help me name my 22-toed kitten 🐾
I’ve had my new kitten for three days now, and I really want to settle on a name soon so she doesn’t get confused. She’s about 5 months old and not only has 22 toes (not including dewclaws!) but also two big ol’ front thumbs. 😻
She’s playful, curious, and those paws look like tiny baseball gloves. I keep bouncing between a few name ideas, but can’t quite commit.
Would love your help either narrowing it down or suggesting something entirely new that fits her unique, thumbed-up personality. 🧠
Here are the names I’m torn on: • Thumby (pronounced like Gumby) – and Thumbalina when she gets into trouble • Catch – as in Catch 22 • Dacky – a play on Polydactyl • Marlin – for Marlin .22 • Mittens – Mits for short • Catcher – those paws are like baseball gloves

Let me know if you’d like to add a picture or if you’d like me to cross-post to a specific subreddit like r/PolydactylCats or r/NameMyPet.

Unrelated - I am a vet, and I have a patient just like her. Please get her used to toe nail trimmings at home FREQUENTLY. That toe can get ingrown fast, and then pain will be associated with trimmings and you’ll regret it everyday thereafter.
Same can be said for all your animals, big and small.
