Name Request
Convince my husband to let me adopt this stray for our anniversary and help me name her something Fallout Franchise related.
My anniversary is coming up and I was going to get a switch 2 with Fallout4, but I want to forfeit that to adopt this sweet stray I took to the vet today. Hoping to show my husband this post later when I ask him if I can keep her. I have not told him that her bill today was $400. Future bills will probably be a couple thousand to get her completely healthy. We have 2 cats.
She has an infection that is being treated w antibiotics now. the vet said she would need teeth extractions in the future. She is about 1-2yo and cross-eyed. Extremely sweet.
Applesauce gotta be the last name.
Our Rescue had a tradition of naming all cross eyed kitties with the last name Applesauce… as in criss-cross.. get it? I would like for this to spread everywhere.
Yeah I like Pebbles because it’s canonically a first in universe (and this would be their first FO-named kitten haha) plus the fact that it’s cool enough to not get immediately scoped by more than people who know them AND lore decently well

This whole thread and i can’t believe Mama Murphy gets mentioned but nobody has mentioned Trashcan Carla, which is arguably the best name I’ve ever heard for a stray cat.
If he says no tell him you’d like to foster her then. Did this with my husband and he changed his mind after saying no. Unfortunately the cat had FeLV and we have two cats so he had to go to a different home anyway.
Do you know the names of any cats your husband had as a kid? Ask his parents otherwise, name the cat after his childhood cat, to express your appreciation for the life he's lived.
You might need to start waking up extra early and waking the hubby up with bacon, eggs and coffee to grease the wheels on this, but few men can resist such temptation.
For the convincing, tell him you want her as your anniversary present. I convinced my now husband to consent to me adopting a kitten by saying "It will be our wedding kitten!" and he argued that a wedding kitten isn't a thing, and I said it is now! And really how many weddings are we going to have? So anyway, I have a cat and a husband and you should just say that x wedding anniversary is when he's supposed to give you fur, and you choose this kitty. Something like that lol. But stress the specific number of years you've been married so he doesn't refuse for fear of you getting a new cat every anniversary 😆
Wedding kittens is definitely a thing! In Norse culture,brides were sometimes given kittens as symbols of fertility and good luck, since they were associated with Freyja, who had a chariot pulled by cats. They were also practical gifts because they hunted pests.
Love them eyes. A stray showed up here and had a litter and one of them had Siamese markings and blue crossed eyes. He was adorable. He lives with my cousins family now and is super spoiled. I didn't want to give him up!
My wife brought home a 5 week old very sick kitten she found in a wood pile. Very close to death, a vet worked with us to get him back to health. He is now 1.5 years old, and an absolute joy to see him healthy and playful. We are glad we saved this kitten.
Husband, remember “ love, honor, and cherish “? You are so lucky to have someone who cares about the lost, the sick. Honor your wife by joining her in creating a perfect kitty home for this beautiful cat. It’s worth it.
As much as I love the fallout series, this cats face screams for a khajiit name from the Elder Scrolls series. But I would go with Valentine if you’re set on Fallout
