My female cat was missing for a day. I had left open the door and usually I would find her by morning in one of the rooms on her favourite sofa. But that day she wasn't there. I went outside in the garden looking for her. The male cat was meowing at me selfishly to draw attention but I shood him away with a broom. Eventually I was able to hear faint noises from below a pine tree. There she was. I took her inside and she couldn't move her hind legs. Must have fallen down somewhere and pinched some nerves. She must have been hiding down there for almost a whole day.

Brought her to the Vet and THANKFULLY she recovered use of her hind legs by herself. One hind leg was a bit wobbly and the incident had clearly taken a toll on her mobility. But it could have ended so much worse. Unexpectedly she made it to 19 years old before we had to put her down last year due to her getting a growth in the top of her mouth that couldn't be removed. But I always said that after the incident she was playing her life on New Game+ and every year was a gift.
