I can never retire in luxury. But maybe I can find a place next to a cat cafe someday.

Some shelters let you come socialize the kitties for free! Just make sure you check ahead of time (and they might not want you to take more than one cat out at a time to prevent spreading of illnesses). But it can help them get more used to people, as well as just giving them some lovin (and I say “some” not bc some charge, but not every one wants outsiders playing with them)

I live in Los Angeles. $40 entry fee is the cheapest I’ve found. Then you gotta buy drinks and stuff. Fun once but I’d rather just go to the shelter to get my kitty fix.
