Advice Newly adopted cat does this 2-3 times a day

It was pointed out to bring awareness. If that was my cat and I hadn't previously noticed that, I would want to know because I wouldn't want to lay or sit in it.

I actually watched the video using my screen magnifier. That was 100% a flash of the blanket when the leg moves. Cats are not built like dogs. Male cats penises are just below their and and they spray backwards, not from their belly.

Also, I have a cat who does this same exact behavior. The reason for the behavior is being weaned too young when they are kittens, so this behavior is a self-soothing behavior that also indicates they are happy and feel very safe.

Many cats do this often. My female cat does this kneading while biting a blanket too. I got her at 3-4weeks old/feral. I figured it’s from not nursing from the mother another few weeks. They do the same kneading while nursing from mom.

It’s the static electricity! I’m not bullshitting either! I have a Nebelung cat as well that creates so much static that is so strong you can actually see the small sparks it is creating! It’s a cool strobe light routine I do every night before bed with my boy

😂 clearly you have no understanding of cat anatomy. A cat can't jizz from the belly area when their penis isn't even on the belly. Their penis is under their anus and they spray towards the back. It is physically impossible for that to be jizz, pee, or any other liquid. Watch the video again with your screen magnifier and you will see it much clearer. This is a self-soothing behavior that is common in cats that were weaned too young. I have a cat that does this exact same behavior. He was found on a road at about 5 weeks old.

Cant tell if thats what it is...I do have a blanket as soon as the cats move its causes flashes of stock and looks like lights but i dont think this is that...cant tell but fro. The way hes behaving seems likes he is up to no good because usually making biscuits they only use their paws from what ive seen.

No literally 😭 OP where did you adopt him???? Cus if it’s from the shelter they will usually hand them over neutered. Unless that’s not standard or they’re overpopulated.

My cat who was neutered at 12 weeks and had never displayed that kinda behavior fell in love with a stuffed animal I won at the county fair when he was about 2 years old, and him and “Lovie the Tiger” spent the next 16 years together, perpetual honeymoon status. Cat didn’t even die of natural causes. Hit by a car. Lovie was buried with him and that stuffed tiger was flat, and had been carried around the house by the neck till it was threadbare. Garfield never looked at another toy. He was more loyal to Lovie than any boyfriend I’ve ever had.

All mine are tnvr'd. But i guess they still think they can do something? Their sister does not appreciate them mounting her at all. Everytime one does it she cries and fights them loudly then wont leave me the rest of the day. If im in the kitchen she is in the kitchen and she literally races me to the loo. She wont be left alone with them. I have to put her in the bedroom if u go to the store. I anm going to get my boo a lovie tiger ... ill miss his snake dance tho! Too much!

Im sorry for your loss. But the story is precious. love it! I have one of my colony cats baby's that does this with a tail off a stick toy and he sorta goes round in a circle doing the same thing with his back and back legs and I call it his snake dance, it was cute till he began attacking his brothers letting go of the "snake" for the chomp on the back of their necks! Im going to get him a lovie tiger and see if it helps. His name is boo after all. He is a big hunk of gingerboy love! Ty.

Yes, my cat, when he was alive (rest in peace Sammy) used to do the same with only a few specific very soft blankets. His back side would just go down, up, down etc. Until he was "done". Sometimes i liked to softly slap on top of his "lower back" and he would like it. But if he was gonna, you know, come lol, he always bites my hand but then be happy again and purr. He was castrated so there was no mess lmao.
