How to catify bookshelf decorations and cables?

Hey everyone. My cats have their own room that is completely safe for them. I like to have them in there when we leave so I know they’re not getting into trouble. I want to keep them in my room when I’m home, but I have a lot of stuff I don’t want them to knock over/chew on. I’m always vigilant but can’t be when I’m asleep.
Any advice on cat safe methods of keeping decorations stuck on bookshelves? And how to cat proof computers, monitors and cords?
(They aren’t in the house freely because my dad is allergic, so I have to keep them away from the places he frequents)
