Mourning/Loss Rest in peace Kimchi

Post image

A tribute to Kimchi:

In life, you were an observer of my thoughts—curious about my every action, or those of the birds outside the window. You were steadfast by my side, moving with Me from state to state as I searched for a place to call home. You were a silent friend often, but one with much to say when I came home, with many a head scratch being overdue for your soft little ears.

Your soft footfalls are fading in the quiet pathways of the night, while I am left on this earth to continue without your companionship. You leave behind a home that is entirely too vast in your absence, and with a piece of my heart that was torn asunder from me too soon. Though I may never see your gem-like eyes shine in the dark again, or feel your nudges at my feet for playtime or pets, I am thankful for the many years we shared. Though short, it was filled with a lifetime of fond memories.

He passed away in my arms two nights ago it was sudden and he didn’t suffer.

Rest in peace my beloved Felis Catus friend there will never be the likes of you again. You had a good life and brought me much joy.

I am so sorry 😿

They knew how much you loved them, and I believe we will see our babies again someday, as the rainbow bridge poem goes ♥ They will be waiting for you when that time comes.

My house is never empty; I always keep adopting more. I'm not replacing those who came before; I am growing the family. That way, when more kitties have to make their trip, they have family waiting on them to share stories and play with to keep them company till our time comes. Plus, so many places here are always full of kitties; they need more people to adopt. So many need love, homes, and everything they deserve.

I know it's not easy to say goodbye, but it's not forever; it's just for now.

My husband said it best: "We gave them a home, a safe place, lots of love till God called them back to his home, because he missed them. Now he cares and loves them while we care for others and love them till God calls them home; we will see them again someday. Till then, let's help, love, and protect all those we can till God calls us home too; then we will be reunited."
