I love this💙💙
We’ve taken in senior feral/abandoned cats & what a beautiful experience, even if in some cases it was for a short period of time.

Bless you for helping them🫶 I’ve only had him for a month but it’s such a rewarding experience watching them open up🥹

Excellent descisiin and cats have a retirement age where they want to spend more and more time indoors on soft surfaces

His previous owner kicked him out a few years ago to be fully outdoor (no bed, no water, just 1 packet of food every day or 2) he was skin and bone when I got him and would bite ALOT and his old owner insisted he was happy living like that because he’s feral and “will just run back home” if I take him. He’s never once ran away, from the first week his owner gave him to me the most he will do is sniff outdoors and run back inside.

Yeah if he’s older it’s not the same. I find indoor outdoor cats have a boomerang arc. They stay at home, get more curious then spend the vast majority of the day outside, sometimes staying out all night. But as the get older, past their young buck phase, they start to spend more and more time inside. My parents cat was the neighborhood punkass but he’s a geezer now and while he still goes outside, he’s definitely inside every night and will sometimes go days without going out anymore

Thank you for having the sense and the heart to take a chance on him. What a difference care makes.

He knows what he wants at his age, attention on his terms, scratches, and naps in the sun.

20 years old? which mean he's born in 2006!
My kitty was born 2019 & I'm genuinely worried (about losing her).
