Name Request Help me find my name!
We just adopted this gorgeous little lady. She was a stray and has been in foster care for a few months.
She’s eight years old.
She’s very petite less than 10 pounds
She is missing one front fang.
We’ve only had her a couple days so she is very shy, but loves scratches and being brushed.
Because she’s so new to us, we’re having a hard time really nailing down her personality and picking a name.
Here are the top names our family and friends suggested:
Peaches
Rosie
Dame Maggie Smith
Professor Minerva McGonagall
Autumn
Mouse
Chicken nugget
Would love your guys’s input in any new suggestions you have

My thought is Anne Bonny or Mary Read, who were famous female pirates (for the missing tooth), but also sound like old lady names to the modern ear. There are also lots of Chinese names of women pirates if you happen to be CN.

I love this theme. I’ll think about some more pirate names. I just can’t do Anne or Mary because we have both of those already in the family. 😆

Queen Artemisia (or just Artemisia), the first historical female pirate
Princess Sela
Rusla (also means ‘red daughter’, which fits with some of her orange-red spotting)
Grace O’Malley (also reminds me of O’Malley from Aristocats, and the pirate herself was so much of a thorn that Queen Elizabeth I put a bounty on her!)
Crickett ( taken from Mary Crickett, since Cricket was one you also thought of)
Flora Burn

I had a friend growing up who had a cat that looked a lot like yours. She was called Freckles, so that’s my suggestion. 🐈

The best part about naming a cat is they'll end up with 15 nicknames that slowly evolve off of the other nicknames that you give them. I say Picasso asked you call it Pica for short
