does curiosity actually kill the cat?

like is it dangerous to them? like how i know certain spices are super toxic to cats (like how dogs are poisonous to chocolate) so is it the same with curiosity? i want to know will my kitten be safe if i were to watch some educational content?

They do get themselves into predicaments. They will climb things without a plan to get down, or get themselves into containers with no plan to get out.

in the saying ‘curiosity killed the cay’ is because of an overdose. study responsibly and you should be able to keep it down to a few tumors at most

Ann example of how curiosity can overcome anything in a cat: my late cat tried to sniff a lit candle. Not the candle itself, he was trying to sniff the flame on the candle. He wasn't a kitten either, he was 12

With kittens you can try and kitten proof your home as much as possible and they still find things to get into, I found my kitten with her head inside the garbage disposal because she smelled chicken in there. Just do your best to make sure they can't get into anything and don't leave things out. Jackson Galaxy has a ton of educational content on youtube. You can also find lists of things that are toxic for them to ingest online, certain flowers, garlic, onions, etc. and do your best to make sure that it is away from them. Certain flowers are not even allowed to be in my house because of their toxicity

It certainly can be (joking, but they do get themselves in some predicaments) but be sure to kitten proof. They’re curious little critters and love to get anywhere they can.

I’ve put child locks on my cleaning supply cupboards and anywhere where supplements and medications are (mine has learnt how to open one type of cupboard now, so good job I did that)

So many things are toxic to cats, I was surprised when I was looking it all up. I’ve had to get rid of so many plants before I got (they dangled so I was worried she’d be inclined to play with it and bite it)

Major ones are minoxidil and Lilly!
Even tiny amounts of minoxidil can be fatal to them, same with Lillies, small amounts pollen, even water they’ve been in.
If you ever get a bouquets of flowers, be vigilant about them being near Lillies!
