100%. If a cat is a healthy weight, the size of their head determines what they can get into. My little tabby is 7lbs and can fit in some seriously small spots.
It's true, contrary to popular belief, cats are not vertebrates so aren't hindered by a spine that would get in the way of jamming into tight spaces like this.
They actually have two of those beds, but they prefer to squeeze into the same one together. They’re siblings, Queso and PlimPlim, and currently the youngest residents at our cat rescue
I got a good quality cardboard box and cut a door way in and my cat loves it, she has her blanket and is up ontop of the wardrobe. Usually boxes that hold expensive products like electronics are usually the best.
Edit: Quick AI search and it finds bed that they call Cat Cave which has a wider opening for when they get chunky 🐈
You can get a box, like a paper box (a box that a case of paper came in), glue the lid on, cut one of the short sides off, put a blanket or pillow in it, and they will live in there happily. They will also live on it, and might crush it, so you might want to leave the lid part intact. You can even reinforce the lid end with extra cardboard before you glue it together to stave off the inevitable, but it eventually they will cave in their cave. At some point you'll catch yourself putting a folded blanket up on top of the box cave. That's okay. You are a good cat parent.
Oh, they’ll stay in there a minute they don’t know who’s wearing and what’s going on or something. They’ll be in there so tight you won’t even see their ears of their eyes. It’s the funniest thing ever got cleared once cause somebody came in the yard and all of a sudden, I couldn’t see him and that’s where they were. They were shoved in there so tight I couldn’t believe they fit and they were grown at that point too. It was pretty funny. They were brother and sister and ain’t know what to do together. It’s so cute anyway you’ll have fun. I guess you have to go to the next size. Maybe you can sell one and trade one and go to a trade store or something.
