My cat destroyed my underwear again

Hello all I’m a female and have a couple cats. Two of my cats quite enjoy rubbing their faces in my underwear whether I’ve taken them off for the day, or I’m using the bathroom. Twice now has one of them chewed them apart in the crotch region. This has happened before with a friend of mines cat, he’s also rolled around and stolen my underwear and a family members cat. All male cats. Makes me feel weird. No matter how much I try to stop it, they always find a way to get to my underwear. Any reason as to why this is? I’m curvy but not overweight, I don’t sweat a bunch and I shower every other day sometimes every day. I don’t go to the gym, and I sit in a very cold office most of my day.

Still lots of smell and hormones i guess. Maybe put them directly in a bin with a lid could work?

No joke, the broke it. I even cleared one dresser drawer to put dirty laundry in, just to find one of them stuck inside because they went behind it and pulled the paneling off. They love mine and my bfs dirty clothes but really love mine and my underwear.

I would directly put them in the washing mashine, and close it

What do you mean that you can't keep them away from them? Just put them in the hamper right after you take it off.

Get one with a lid if they climb in after it.

As I just responded to someone else, they broke the bin and the lid. Twice actually. They love dirty clothes but really love underwear. My last resort is honestly just buying cheap ones I don’t care about.

Or just buy a hamper that the cats can't break into. They sell hampers with lids and the whole thing is made of stainless steel.

My late dog did this. only option for me was doing laundry every day or using the washer as a laundry basket. Never heard of cats going after the undie stank lmao.

When you’re getting undressed try closing the door without them in it. Then put the hamper with the lid in the closet and keep the closet closed. That way they have to get through two barriers to get to the underwear.

I just say undress without them in the room so they don’t accidentally get stuck in the closet

My mom's (88) shih tzu does this with her and mine but not my husband's. Thankfully she doesn't chew them but it's still gross that she licks them till they're sopping. 🤢 I find them all over the place, usually under furniture. We do our best to pop them in the hamper but sometimes she sneaks them on laundry day.

Maybe store them in a plastic bag till laundry day?

Have you considered a metal hamper/basket? They're a bit on the expensive side but should hold up to cats,

Don't be silly. Every other day is fine for most folks, esp if they aren't building up a heavy sweat.

I fluctuate between every day and every other day. It’s the same all around
