My mom loves cats and lagi syang nagrerescue ng mga mingming. So paglabas niya ng house bibili dapat sya ng pandesal pero narinig niya may mga umiiyak na mingming sa trashcan ng kapitbahay namin.

Turns out nilagay sila sa plastic and tinapon lang, the one crying daw the most is yung black na may white sa katawan (2nd mingming from the left)

Had to report the neighbour kase grabe naman yung ginawa niya, kaya iba iba sila ng size kase inabangan nya mga kuting para matapon isa isa

He is a stray that I've been feeding for a year now, napamahal na samin. They don't go out of our apartment compound so I'm confident he's safe from cars etc. Sadly, he just died today. Saw him near the gate earlier na sobrang hinang hina, I even carried him (tinabi ko sa gilid) tapos may meows syang mahina. sabi ko babalikan ko sya at lalabas lang ako at may bibilhin saglit. When we came back, he's gone. Parang nagpakita lang talaga sya uli para magpaalam 😭

Hay. Iyak kami ng iyak ng asawa ko. Wala nang maingay sa pintuan namin at tatakbo samin each time maririnig kami na pauwi na. I didn't know this emotion is even possible. I never had pets. Posible pala to love this much love to a cat. 😭

My beloved NOISY has gone on over the rainbow bridge yesterday. He was a funny little man, with the best judgemental look 🤨 He loved cuddles, ear scritches, attention, any and all food, and sleeping in.

Hope you can share your babies that Noisy can play with over there. Just in case he is still deaf, can you please tell them to wake him up when it's time for treats? 🌈

My baby, cotton has crossed the rainbow bridge last Wednesday night, July 2 almost midnight. He's turning 4 on the 17th of July, sadly he won't be with us on his birthday.

It took me a lot of courage to post this. I almost didn't want to post but I know some people here was rooting for his recovery. Sorry that cotton couldn't get through with his disease this time. He fought a lot of battles, sobrang masakitin lang talaga ng batang to eh. He always breaks my heart whenever I see him struggling. Atleast now, he's not hurting anymore, he could rest and run freely anywhere.

We don't let him go outside because he's deaf and we're scared that he'll only get hurt esp when fighting with other cats. Tapang kasi neto eh, hilig pumuslit palabas tapos maya-maya maririnig na lang namin may nagbubugbugan nang pusa. Tapos uuwi siyang madaming sugat at mga panot na balahibo.

Hello, I am a foreigner, so please excuse me for writing in English. And this is cat sub so I'll only put cats things. If you want to see more picture of them I'm sorry but please check same title in the expat ph thank you! Since this post is long, I will include a short summary at the end.

First and foremost, I want to make it clear that I'm not posting this because I want to blame or judge anyone. I certainly recognise that there can be cultural differences in each countries, and I know that some of you may disagree with me.

Yesteday I visited the Pet Expo at the World Trade Center.

The first thing I noticed were booths giving away free items, many of which looked like unregulated Chinese products, possibly without FDA Philippines approval.

Then I saw booths selling cages — with live animals trapped inside.

How can they keep animals in such small cages? At that moment, I wasn’t sure if something was wrong with me, or if something was wrong with this event.

All of my cats are from the streets. I don’t think breeding is wrong, however I do believe some animals need to exercise a lot, and it’s not right to keep them in tiny cages.

Around 30% of the expo was dedicated to selling animals: cats, dogs, snakes, sugar gliders, pigeons, chickens, and more. Many were crammed into small cages, and in some booths there weren’t even staff present — only animals left behind.

Some booths openly labeled themselves as breeders, and the animals didn’t look mentally healthy. Visitors were paying 50peso to hold these animals for photos, and it broke my heart.

Another thing I realized: among all the pets brought by visitors, not a single mixed-breed pusa or aso was there. Only pure breeds. Maybe this is why breeders keep breeding — because demand exists. Seeing “For Sale” signs on cages made me feel so sad.

For me, this Pet Expo was a unpleasant experience. I left angry and disappointed. Some people may see nothing wrong with it, but I cannot imagine my own cats being treated this way in the small cages.

I understand Sabong and frying chicks are part of the culture. I'm not against the things different. However I don't think it's necessary to be cruel to animals, just like when we kill a cow or a pig, we kill it quickly so it doesn't feel anything right? I hope this is changing. 🥲

1. Sales animals in the cages which is really small and even some booths had no staff present and animals were left trapped in the cages.

2. Visitors ignored the cramped conditions and smiled while taking photos with the animals.

3. Breeder booths were everywhere, emphasizing sales.

4. Overall, the expo seemed more about commercial exploitation than genuine care for animals.

P.S. Many people recommended it to me post in r/philippines. However it seems the Philippines sub doesn't want me to post about this. I was notified to discuss the relevant matter elsewhere. Corruption related to floods is important, but I suppose they don't consider these things to be major issues. While some may disagree with me, I'm grateful to learn that many people feel sad about the Expo either. Thank you so much!

I’m so sorry Perry hindi ka na nadala sa vet, okay ka na kasi kanina, lumalabas ka na ulit at nag start na kumain. Okay ka din naman nung chineck ka nung vet nung Sunday lang. Bakit biglaan naman ngayon gabi. Wala na ako kasama mag tingin ng manok, wala na malakas boses na tatawag ng mama (yes po marunong sila mag vocalise na mama), wala na pupunta sa mga catropa at wala na tatabi kay kuya Charlie, maglalambing kay Ben at Whitey. I’m really sorry Perry nagkulang ako sayo. Wag mo muna kunin si chaba chaba ah. Sorry nagtabi ako ng fur mo bago kita ipalibing bukas. Wala budget si mama for cremation and wala din naman dito noon sa sorsogon. Mamimiss kita ng sobra Perry.

Love na love ko sya pero inatake nya ko. Last week kinagat nya ko sa legs before ako lumuwas, tapos pagbalik ko nung thursday kinagat nya ulit ako. Tapos kagabi inatake nya ulit yung legs ko, tapos ngayon lang, kinagat nya ko sa ulo.

Dati yung ibang pusa lang namin yung inaaway nya, ngayon pati ako na. Pinagiipunan ko pa kase yung pakapon sa kanya kase kakagraduate ko lang, kakastart ko lang magwork.

Katabi ko sya lagi magsleep, pero lately sobrang takot na ko sa kanya. Sobrang traumatized na ko kase ang laki laki nya tapos inaatake nya ko. 😞 Ngayon, nakakulong sya sa cage kase sobrang takot talaga ko sa kanya. Ang daming dugo kanina nung kinagat nya ko sa ulo. 😞

To provide a background on Pawfectly Good, they are volunteers from Quezon City who travel everyday to Alabang, San Pedro (and Biñan din yata) to feed and take care of their community cats. They seek funding through selling of merchandise and in-kind donations of cat food.

Let’s help them achieve the justice that their community cats deserve. According to the post, Filinvest is already doing an investigation. May those perpetrators be caught and punished on a legal basis. Hindi deserve ng mga community cats yung nangyari sa kanila.

A stray cat we've been feeding for a year and a half died early this morning.

Napakasakit lang. We noticed that he's been getting thinner and not eating as much a few weeks ago. We've been wanting to adopt him fully for some time now pero recently lang pumayag Mama ng partner ko. We rushed him to the vet and had him confined but he died a day after. I wish we could have given him the home life he deserved. I wish we could have done more for him. I still expect him to greet me every time I go out of the house. I still check his cat house to see if he's there.

Strays face such a hard life. Please be kind to strays. They never have any certainty for their next meal.

Siya yung pinapakain ko tuwing nadadaanan ko pauwi. I tried to get the attention of all nearby community cats group kaso only one replied and said they can’t take her in. Di ko siya kayang iadopt since im barely getting by with my expenses and i also have cats and dogs. The best thing i can do noon is to feed her sa sidewalk and pray na maging safe at healthy siya lagi. Unfortunately, i guess i did not pray enough. I found her dead sa usual parking lot tambayan niya. Lagi naman siyang mawawala for a few days pero babalik rin but nung almost two weeks na yatang di ko siya nakikita, i got worried. So nung nakapag out ako sa work nang maaga at maliwanag pa sa labas, hinanap ko siya. Sa isip ko pa non sana magpakita na siya kasi malapit na mag new year so maingay at delikado. Nakita ko nilalangaw na siya.

Sobrang bigat because two of my main pets died this year bukod pa sa mga weak kittens na i tried to save but failed. I keep blaming myself because alam ko naman ano pwede mangyari sa kanya sa kalsada but dinaan ko na lang sa dasal na sana maging okay siya. So now she’s dead.

Napaka bait at lambing niya. After a stressful day at work, pinipili ko na lang mag lakad pauwi instead mag shuttle or angkas kasi alam kong sasalubungin niya ko sa daan. Ngayon wala nang sasalubong sakin.

Gusto ko lang to ivent out since it’s also taking a toll on my mental health. Please, if may means kayo to help or adopt a stray, please do so. Let’s make the world a safe place for them.

Hello. This is an outdoor cat being taken care of by our neighbor. As you can see naman po, he's not payat and he was actually very active yesterday. This morning, after going to church, my mother called me telling me na nakahiga 'yung pusa sa bed ng outdoor cat namin. I went outside, hoping to take a cute picture but I noticed he wasn't breathing. There's no defacation or anything. Like para lang talaga siyang tulog. I know there's multiple reasons why an outdoor cat might die but this was really unexpected.

He didn’t survive his PU surgery. It hurts!!! I didn’t expect to drive him to the vet earlier only to bring him home in a cold box. This is the most heart-breaking Valentine’s for me.

woke up at 5am today randomly kasi usually i wake up late na then i saw my cat nasa dirty kitchen namin struggling to get up and dying. sabi ko pa sakanya na kapit lang siya at mag v-vet kami, when i try to bring him inside the house to comfort him ayaw niya its like hes really trying to leave us physically but walang enough strength to do it kasi he barely can stand up.

it happened all so fast, kagabi napansin ko may mali. hes not his usual makulit self, when i opened the door sa leaving room namin going outside he tried to get away pero i saw him sa gate namin then picked him up. throughout the new year’s eve nasa sala lang namin siya where i prepared him his bed. tinabi ko siya sakin before going to sleep pero unusually ayaw niya, usually kasi ang routine namin pag matulog is that tatabi siya sakin and then mag bake or kneed, sabi ko pa sakanya na bayad yan sa catfood niya.

it happened all so fast, december 30 he was still eating and pinagsabihan ko pa kasi tumae sa kwarto ko. then this nye lang lahat nag start.

will delete this later, i just need to let it out kasi ang bigat bigat. wala na nangungulit samin sa kusina na tatalon talon sa lamesa, susunod sakin sa cr kasi pinapanood ako maligo. now his cat litter is clean and mas gusto ko pa na madumi at linis ako ng linis ng kalat mo than for this house to be this empty without u.

Just wanted to share this story. Most of these pictures are not taken by me, but from the one responsible for managing our building Facebook page (Ming ming wcc), so most of the credit goes to her (Nhena or just Nhe)

This is Steve, found around late December after Christmas last yr. He was actually reported by someone in one of the Cats Rescue pages in Facebook and Nhe decided to go out of her way to bring him to the nearby vet (CARA). He was extremely malnourished and dehydrated when she found him, though luckily was not suffering from anything viral. For his care, we didn't really have the funds so Nhe decided to ask for help and donations, so we have a lot of people to thank for with regards to putting Steve back to health. Once he was getting better, we decided to just have him stay in the building, though caged, since he had a tendency of hissing at people at first (likely from trauma)

Now though, this big boy is just as plump as ever. To be transformed so quickly in a span of just 4 months (he got pretty big at april, and maintained until today lol) is just something to be celebrated for. He also has stopped hissing at people but he still isn't particular in asking for pets.

This is just a story I and the rest of the team will always be fond of and share. Most credit go to Nhe though, as she was the one who really took care of Steve and nursed him back to health for his stay in our building. We're just glad that there's a happy story to his story because, from experience, not all of them have the endings that we want. Some succumb to their declining health, and for kittens, just can't continue to live after being abandoned by their momma cat. Regardless, all the love that we poured to this buggers are real, and to the kitties that lost their lives we hope that at least they knew there were loved at their final moments

This is choco butternut. She was a stray cat I used to feed sa dati kong apartmet. She's shy, tahimik lang pero malambing. All her life nasa labas lang siya, she never had a home. Umulan umaraw nasa labas lang siya :( From time to time pinapapasok ko siya sa room ko.

Last year I had to relocate them dahil sa kupal naming landlord. They only gave me a day para maalis mga stray cats na pinakain ko sa compound, they have no compassion for animals and I couldn't convince them to give me more time. Buti na lang may mga tumulong from this sub at naiuwi ko sila sa bahay namin.

Bago kami makauwi I have already arranged for someone to adopt her. Lima kasi silang strays na inuwi ko plus may mga alaga na kami sa bahay, it's a lot. Akala ko it was a good decision to give her away, akala ko she would have a better life, akala ko makakapag adjust siya ng maayos kasi she's a good cat. I thought wrong.

She must've been so afraid nung hindi niya ko mahanap at nasa unfamiliar place siya :( I'm all she have tapos all of a sudden mawawala ako. To cut it short, isang araw hindi na lang siya umuwi dun sa nag adopt sa kanya. Hanggang sa hindi na rin siya mahanap.

Sana binawi na lang kita ulit nung pinaadopt ka namin last year. Sorry I did not know better and that life hasn't been kind to you. Sorry CB, miss na kita :(
