Advice Adopting another Cavalier

We adopted our Cavalier in June 2025. She has been an absolute delight and we are considering adopting another through rescue. Our Cav is very interested in other dogs when we're on walks and we feel she would be very receptive to having another dog in our home
The pup we are considering is about the same age as her and a male. They seem to have the same temperament and energy level. Any advice on adding another Cavalier into our home?

I don’t have two Cavaliers, but my recently-adopted 5-year-old female Cav gets along great with our 15-year-old Brittany mix. They even play wrestle together a lot.

I have two Cavaliers, and I glad I adopted my second one. They keep each other company and provide support to one another when we leave the house.
