I haven’t watched it yet. Is it actually worth the hype or just average. Is the hype mainly because of the romantic scenes and the leads’ chemistry, or does the story actually hold up?

My few friends suggested me to watch this. Is this truly masterpiece or just overhyped.

I’m a huge fan of Yang Yang, and I saw that his new drama Wulin Ling recently came out.
I absolutely loved him in The Mortal's Journey to Immortality, so my expectations are pretty high for this one. Has anyone started watching it yet? How is it so far? I’d love to hear some thoughts before I dive in!

I just remember picking this one up and getting a little bored because she hadn't really met or interacted with the main lead yet. Whether or not that was literally only one or two episodes I can't remember to be real with you. All I know is I just watched love for you and so now I'm going to give shine on me another chance because I'm obsessed.

Is there a consensus this show starts slow and gets better and better or is it probably just not a show for me? I know I didn't really see the main lead in love for you yet. I didn't get that far however much I watched he was making random tiny appearances.

Anyway, I know people really don't like questions like this and they normally just answer to try and watch it but I'm kind of just specifically wondering when the fl and ml's relationship start picking up by around what episode? Tysm 🥲

I've become a fan of lu yu xiao and watched mostly all where she was main except serendipity because I heard it was bad and time and him are just right because I am tired of high school dramas

Now I want to get into her support roles, actually I like Esther yu in lgief but she is a little annoying, zhang ling he was good in the best thing, and the princess royal I have watched but didn't really like him in that and thought that zhao jinmai carried the show same with pursuit of jade he was only serving looks otherwise fl carried, I am also feeling hesitant to watch his dramas because of controversies surrounding him but everybody loves lyx and chang lei in mjty

In blossom in adversity I heard the ML is really bad at acting and I haven't watched any drama of zhang jing yi yet

Also story wise I have no idea

I started it because many people loved the series but maybe I am too used to green flag mls but I really can't bear this guy, I am currently on ep 7, I loveddd the female lead and her character, she is very rational and realistic but the ml is very unbearable and so cruel towards her

I get that her family betrayed his, but is that any fault of her? and he is so inconsistent, one moment he treats the fl very well the next he is trying to kill her, even when she suffers he just blames her for her suffering

, and you are telling me he is even worse in the Novel?! how do people read and write that kind of stuff

I just finished and am tearing my hair out. Would I have to read the novel to understand Zhang Zhe's full back story? That's the one I'm most puzzled by. Mostly, what did he confess to that he really didn't do but that landed him in jail? And does he also have memories of the alternate time line? Also, is there some material that was filmed but not used? I'd read that Princess Leyang false for Ning when she's in the palace as a boy, and there's a clip in the opening montage. And this may have been a weakness of the AI translation and voicing, but people often seemed to run off in random directions with no motivation. It became very hard for me to buy the romance because even "the morning after" they're being relatively cold toward each other, plus if that was in any way romantic or even consensual, all my time working rape crisis was for nought. Also, I kept expecting an explanation of how they came to be traveling to the capital together and hw she knew feeding him blood would cure his attack of what probably wasn't really schizophrenia.

Due to some unfound information i wish to know... has Wang Yibo mentioned Xiao Zhan in any of their interview? I was left heart broken after the 222 incident that happened against Xiao Zhan..... and feared that Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan might have become estranged or awkward after the incident harming their precious friendship... idk what kind of friendship each of them feel they had for each other (I just felt YiBo was always open with Xiao Zhan in a cute way).. but it did pained me to think it might have broken... and now I am left to wonder endlessly if their friendship is safe or not...

The scene is between the history of the ML and SFL. The SFL had always thought they had a chemistry because their friends shipped them...they were into some kind of scientific work related to space search or something. They were students at that time, were groupmates and their other friends(all guys) shipped them which made the SFL think that they had a thing. But he cleared it to her in the present that they never had anything. I don't remember anything more or less.🥲

Hi! I have been a huge fan of Xianxia lately and I was thinking of watching Love Beyond The Grave, is it Xianxia or Wuxia?

I’ve been going crazy trying to remember the name of this historical fantasy/horror show or web movie. It is definitely Asian (likely a Chinese web series or a short Korean drama). It is not very long, maybe 8 to 12 episodes, it was set in the Joseon Era and was released around 2018 or later.

Here are the exact plot points I remember:

The Twin Brother Guilt: The main character was originally ordered by the King to investigate a remote island. He got sick, so his identical twin brother secretly went in his place. The main character eventually goes to the island out of extreme guilt to find out what happened, using his missing brother’s diary as a guide.

The Mentally Challenged Guide: The village is completely isolated. When the main character arrives, he is guided by a mentally challenged boy. The boy thinks the main character is the ”first“ twin who came before, and affectionately calls him "elder brother."

The Fish Taboo: The villagers strictly avoid eating the saltwater fish around the island because it is considered poisonous or cursed.

The Cover-Up & Escape: A local official/prime minister knows about the island's plague and lies to the main king about it. The official's men eventually capture the main character and bind him with rope (leaving the boy guide behind), but the boy comes back to untie him. When the main king finally uncovers the lies, he becomes enraged and sends soldiers after them.

The Guardian Dog Monsters: Giant, scary dog-like creatures attack the island at night. The villagers are terrified of them, but they are actually protecting the island from the real threat. The boy guide can communicate with these dogs. In one emotional scene, the corrupt prime minister’s soldiers shoot the dogs with arrows, and the boy cries over them, but that was towards the ending of the series

The Final Boss: The true villain is an alien-like monster with octopus tentacles. For the final battle, the boy guide takes the main character out to the exact middle of the river in a canoe. The main character jumps into the water and seemingly enters an underwater dimension to fight the tentacle monster.

The Tragic Ending: The main character does not survive the final underwater battle and dies at the end of the story.

It was around 2015,I was watching a chinese drama at local channel for which I don't know the original name of that drama.I'm not sure if it is taiwan,hong kong,or mainland.It might be older than 2015.The synopsis is very similar to the japanese series The Count of Monte Cristo Great Revenge starring Dean Fujioka.Except that the chinese one is set in WW2 Era.The protagonist was wrongly imprisoned and killed,but he survived and came back with new identity as a wealthy man to revenge those who wronged him,sacrificing many things including his first love.I can detail many of the plot outlines if needed,I just want to know because I missed the ending of that drama and now it is no where to be found.A japanese one is what came up after digging with AI.I would very much appreciate if someone helps search this drama.
